If he had shown up, they would have probably complained that he's stealing the show and not focusing on made up scandals like Benghazi and the IRS thing.
    Ah, jeez, no....

France had been IN the war on terror long before the US was even attacked. When you only listen to the idiots who actually VOTED in congress to re-name "French Fries" to "Freedom Fries" you end up spewing propagana. I would have demanded the Statute of Liberty back...what a ****ing insult, considering they were never "french" to begin with.

France, along with most of NATO chose not to get involved in another Vietnam and said so. They had their hands full in Libya and at home. They did NOTHING to America other than disagree with US foreign policy like Canada, and others. And like most of the rest of the world, they avoided that nightmare you created in Iraq.

I'm not defending O; I'm simply re-iterating the silliness of complaining about someone's position on an issue based on whether he/she decided to go to some PR event

And right wingers have a long-standing (but childish) tendency to judge politicians on how they present themselves as opposed to the actual details of the bills they write/sign off on or their sponsors sign off on.

Consequently, the same right wingers who think this refusal on O's part amounts to anything at all are likely the same silly morons who think that Darrell Issa is a great, honest man for grilling Holder on Operation FF.

I think that it looks extremely egocentric the way the Europeans are acting after only a few victims. Had this been after Madrid or London okay. But with 2.000 down in Africa the same day? Nope it looks rather badly. As though they only cared about White Europeans.

However, when you believe that America is "dishonoring" anything when we've been fighting the war on terror without France, for 14 years, you've pretty much exposed what your posts aren't about. This isn't some outrage that we didn't show up to a friend's funeral, this is outrage that Obama didn't show up. If he had shown up, you would have found another reason to complain. That's just how you work and this thread makes it clear.
Well, first off Hautey, "Feigned outrage" is YOUR description, and as usual it is quite dishonest...I have never said I was outraged about any of this, disappointing, embarrassed, sure....Outraged? Nah....I've come to expect this kind of dumb ass approach to the world from Obama, and progressives....So, you're wrong again, something else I expect from progressives like you...So, keep it coming Hautey, I am laughing at you.

Lol, your understanding of what is said is shockingly accurate, yes j-mac it's feigned outrage and that's my description. The fact that you think we "dishonored" that "best friend" who didn't believe in the war on terror until they were attacked, is pretty telling. Tell us, do you believe 5,000 dead soldiers would agree that we have "dishonored" anyone by not showing up at their rhetoric laden rally and deciding instead to go at it mostly alone for 14 years? As I said, feigned outrage.

Ok, since this 2000 in Africa you say wasn't reported on should have been as, if not more important, please link us to something on this....

The only feigned outrage here is yours...As if you cared one bit about those that died in either Iraq, or Afghanistan further than a political pawn to use in sites like this....
