Only a fellow at the Hoover Institute would think such a thing. The rest of us would rather be free than indentured servants.

Nope...Wrong again...When "everyone" pays my bills, then you can say they have ownership...But your 99% crap doesn't fly here....
Americans are so enamored of equality that they would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom.

They do pay your bills, in fact, they're nice enough to not even send you an invoice for most of them.

Most of America's richest think poor people have it easy in this country, according to a new report released by the Pew Research Center. The center surveyed a nationally representative group of people this past fall, and found that the majority of the country's most financially secure citizens (54 percent at the very top, and 57 percent just below) believe the "poor have it easy because they can get government benefits without doing anything in return." America's least financially secure, meanwhile, vehemently disagree — nearly 70 percent say the poor have hard lives because the benefits "don't go far enough." Nationally, the population is almost evenly split.

Seems to me some would like nothing more than to bring indentured servitude back in vogue.

Have you been sent itemized bills for the streets you've driven on? The safe food you've eaten? The internet that was developed? The stable commerce you've engaged in? Etc?

Who in their right mind would choose to live a subsistence lifestyle????

You're clearly not familiar with the history.

I'm familiar with the parts of our history where people were exploited. Also I'm familiar with how landowners exploited parts of a Latin and Central America as a part of the banana wars. I don't glorify it though.
