That is the largest predatory loan business going in America today. And they prey on the poor.

    payday loan places

    and car title loan places

it would almost be better to go see Mac the loanshark than deal with these type of companies

and too many get in, and then have trouble exiting

they are big money makers if you can stand looking at your reflection in the mirror at night

    me...i couldnt do it......

    "victims"?

When I was growing up, I never thought of myself as a victim. My point stands. a rational person making 10k a year wouldn't give a dime to charity.

and the amount $500 is offset by entitlments should they so choose to take.

we just couldnt afford to be generous at that point in our lives

last year, my charitable contributions will total over 40k

a lot has changed in 35 years.......

someone earning little enough to receive any type of assistance whether through food stamps, rent control, etc has no business giving to any charity

volunteer, do errands, assist in other ways.....but monetarily.....NFW

I'm from NYC, we call people who fall for pan handlers "ducks" (I actually don't know why). but anyway they can make a fortune.

Anyway like you, I give more than the avereage median income to charity, however I have found that to be empty in gesture, I found it's more rewarding to get on the board of a charity, or to volunteer my time. whether it's with city harvest, or the inner city youth club I am on the board of.

I can contribute something far more valuable than money.

    Jus sayin.....
Tis true, yet that 450 means more to thepoor than that 3.5K means to the rich since the poor do not have as much disposible income. Jus sayin.....

I always love these threads, though the rich give BILLIONS of dollars to charity, it's not enough for the collectivists, it's never enough and never will be.

Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.
