it ain't fun.
once arrested and charged with DV.. those charges cannot be lowered by the police or the prosecutor...you either plead guilty, or you go to trial, there are no other options.
I remember a dude in my anger management class .. his "crime" was hanging up the phone when his wife was trying to call her mom.
boom . .domestic violence.
the only good thing is that you can file to get records expunged after 5 years.... it's very costly, but it's possible to regain some of your rights after a DV conviction.
if you actually hit a "qualified" person... you can either get domestic violence or domestic battery in Nevada.. DV , as you said, doesn't require actual violence though.... it's retarded.
