This could be a Vet that went and did this. This was at one of the VA's that had been under a probe over wait times for Veterans. They really haven't released much info on it, when I heard about this. Other than the shooter is a woman.

A shooting at a west Texas veterans' clinic on Tuesday left two people dead, including the gunman, military authorities said. "Everything is under control and there is no immediate threat to Fort Bliss or the neighboring community," said Twitty, commanding officer of Fort Bliss.

The El Paso Times, citing the office of Rep. Beto O'Rourke, D-Texas, said a doctor at the fort's veterans' hospital was shot and that the shooter apparently shot and killed himself. A message left for the congressman's office by FoxNews.com was not immediately returned, and a spokesman for Fort Bliss said he was unable to confirm or deny the report. The FBI, which is leading the investigation, has hundreds of potential witnesses, many of whom were patients or would-be patients at the clinic, said Douglas Lindquist, special agent in charge of the FBI El Paso office.....snip~

Very sad. These things are always so damn sad.

One less person with a gun who shouldn't have a gun.

Sucks for their victim, but it always sucks for gun owners' victims.

Mornin' Crue. :2wave: I was surprised to find out the shooter was a woman. That part came out later.

Well you should know there are quite a few female troops too.

Yeah I know.....and hardly any are or have done anything like this. Hopefully they will find out why. As like others she could have had PTSD.

What's really sad is that it's a case of "these things". One every now and then is sad, having so many that one get's addled trying to keep the details straight. That's a ****ing tragedy of magnitudenal proportions. That fact "they" are growing is a crime.

For the record, this in my opinion is not about guns. It is about the continuing breakdown of the American social fabric due to years of constipated attempts to make change. It doesn't take a psychology major to see there is likely a connection to the **** medical care offered by the VA and growing social and financial pressures. In this country we have an on going nightmare in the treatment of veterans, to the point a retired general is now suing the DOD with tough-to-establish class action citation expected soon. That alone should result in some people being transferred to the north tip of Baffin Island...for life.

But it's even worse there, aggravated by the number a vets and a crumbling system. Add the frustrations of the rest of the social pressures, the economy and an atmosphere of war in the governance structure, illegals, etc., etc., and the rest of the files with no progress and people reach a breaking point. That point seems to be becoming lower and lower as time goes by, likely the reason for the fact these incidents are becoming so commonplace, so much so that my first reaction was a kind of sad ennui, nothing more to say by me.........

now that's really ****ing sad

And you know this living in Vancover? LOL

This particular case is as simple as people snapping because a system has used them, left them with mental scars, and let them down. No need to go into a dissertation especially when you have no clue.
