Is the Bush family known for smaller government?

GW didn't do anything as far as downsize government. He did the opposite and the establishment GOP supported him all the way. The dad, I don't know much about him expect he wasn't very popular and didn't win reelection.

Jeb bush increased florida's budget by 27% during his term (that's 2009).
    Supports Affirmative action
    Supported the bank bailouts
    Supports corporate welfare
More money for the war on drugs
    Pro common core

IS this the small government replublican you all want as your guy?

It will be interesting to see who actually enters the GOP primary debates. Even if the candidates have no chance of winning like Bachmann and Gingrich, it makes the debates entertaining.

Jeb would be a top contender.

Christi can't win, but he will probably try.

Rand Paul is better than Jeb IMO, but I have some issues with things he has said in the past. I don't expect him to win the primary either, but he probably has a better chance than Christi. I hope he actually preforms well.

Christie is the candidate who appeals to me most, but I suspect Jeb would be the stronger nominee. Jeb/Kasich would be powerful. I also like (obviously) Kasich, then Pence, Walker and Jindal. I doubt that Rick Perry can live down his faux pas from last time. Rand Paul would cause me to consider voting for Hillary.

Bush the Elder was CIA since the 50s, as were many of the people he was in business with. The Bush family history is a history of graft from Prescott on down. Read enough about them and you will easily see the connections between oil, underhanded dealings in foreign lands, the "coincidental" incidents of strife and/or the overthrow of heads of state, the incredible loss of records and files connecting various family members and various investigations and on and on.

Look at the sordid history of the entire family, including brothers W and Neal, and tell me how Jeb will be the shinning light for the nation in the Bush political dynasty. It simply amazes me that Americans would even consider continuing a political dynasty. Another Bush (or Clinton) is the best America can do??? **** that!

Americans truly have become intellectually lazy. It's documented. Both parties use America's willful stupidity to their own benefit. The GOP has already decided that Bush will be the next candidate and Americans being good little sheeple have already begun to consider his worthiness.

Democracy no longer exists in national politics and any American who believes democracy still exists suffers from insidious and deep denial.

I voted for both George HW Bush and George W Bush. However a third Bush does have dynasty written all over it. So does that carpet bagging wench Hillary Klinton. I don't personally have anything against Jeb. I just think he is too much of a RINO. Hillary....I would not trust any further then I could throw her....which would not be far considering her massive BMI.

It's a name recognition poll at this point. Nothing more.

Still having trouble getting over the 2000 election, huh? If there was any cheating going on....it was by the Gore camp.

He is heavily into the "Miami mafia" and many of his business associates have been convicted of racketeering, fraud, real estate scams and criminal ponzy schemes. He is as corrupt as it gets.

If the republican hierchey would allow the primary process to run honestly, I would agree. However that is not happening these days. The party needs to let it run and avoid endorsing or financing a specific candidate until the primaries conclude. That is why they ended up nominating an idiot in 2008. John McCain went from "could not win a primary and carrying his own suitcases" to could not lose a primary, practically overnight. Republican voters should pick the nominee....not Karl Rove.

No, I didn't and wouldn't vote for either, but I hope most of us are not so shallow as to vote on hype or name recognition rather than qualifications or something of substance.
Jeb is qualified based on executive experience as a governor. I will not be voting for him, simply because he is too much of a liberal.
