It's reported she had a CC permit, if that's the case, I wonder why she just didn't have it in a holster, wearing it on the hip-waist, and covered with a coat or sweater. I say this because I've seen a few people in stores doing it that way, it's obvious that a person is carrying though. Such a shame this happened.

I carry a SA SIG 9mm with the chamber empty and I practice weekly drawing it and racking the slide as I shoot. its still under 1.5 seconds to draw and shoot from an IWB Stoner (Turtle endorsed-a local maker) holster
My thoughts exactly. It may take me an extra second or two to rack the slide to chamber the round and sight the target but since Im not a cop and therefore not protected from any sort of liability, an extra second to identify any potential threat and decide whether to shoot or not is very very important.

It is a real shame indeed.

CCW can be very difficult for women who do not wear belted pants and have nowhere to wear a good holster.

I have never believed in off-body carry for a gun, as access and control are severely diminished.

There is an excellent website called corneredcat.com written by a women that addresses CCW issues for women.

    Poor training.

    Poor choices

It was probably a glock, ("trigger safety")

    Merry Christmas.

Every pistole I own has a manual safety.

Condition 1 carry is far more safe than crappy glock type trigger safeties.

This is not an accident. It is a result of idiocy. The idiocy is the act of carrying a gun about in a supermarket. The discharge of the weapon is an accident waiting to happen.

Americans need to understand that this should be regarded as an unlawful killing. The responsibility was the stupid mothers so no action is required but it could have been anybody at the store that caught the bullet.

If you have a gun then that gun is the one which is more likely to kill you than all the rest of them out there.
