Which by the way... is probably the MAIN way that women carry concealed.. in a main pocket in a purse.. not in a dedicated concealed carry bag. This lady was likely much more secured in her carry than the vast majority of females that carry.

By all accounts this WAS an accident. I don't find a need to blame anyone... things happen. That's it.
The woman's son must have been a contortionist or a Houdini to get that hidden pocket open, since it was not really secured or really in her possession, left unattended. Bad, really bad.

Most likely, at least it wasn't terminal.

Yet, these things can and do happen.
IMO you should know all the safety rules and laws for your state before you walk out of a store with a gun. I studied up on before, there are plenty of resources out there.

BTW, I know Kathy (Cornered Cat)...she's here in WA St.

As a fanny-pack wearer you're well aware of 'satchels', so if your comment wasn't sexist then you would have left out "as a man".

I wonder if the company's policy will change any now that this incident has happened?
If it's legal in the state, they really cant do more than try to enforce a trespass law if they catch someone. They cant make it illegal to carry a loaded gun in their store (I dont think so anyway).

As a matter of fact it appears that this lady was violating Idaho law. She was carrying a loaded concealed weapon.

Nothing that this lady did stopped this from happening.

She had a brain and could make her own decisions. She made an error....she let the purse out of her control. That is 100% a no-no and she most likely knew that. (almost positively).
