I hope this is not related to the police shootings. It is a shame firefighters at this station were targeted.

It is not a shame, it is a bloody disgrace. It is a criminally insane act of disgusting behavior to fire at people who have only one function in life (saving people's lives) and to target them by shooting at them is sick and evil.
 
People are taking this **** too far...Just wait until these neighborhoods get no police, no fire/rescue, then we will hear how racist they are....

Makes you wonder "who you going to call?"

Especially in neighborhoods where people really don't know their neighbors or would think about helping them.

Maybe in 2015 the general population will wake up and voice more concerns regarding the gangs, drug dealers, thieves, muggers, etc. than the few bad apples in law enforcement.

When I was working in San Bernardino as a Paramedic, there were entire neighborhoods where we didn't go in unless there was a police escort. This meant we took much longer to get on scene. Eventually the firefighters got bulletproof vests.

If this community wants to treat first responders this way, perhaps they dont need them.

It's pretty f-ing sad when Firefighters need an armed escort to put out a fire.

Makes me wonder what sort of moral code or value system (or lack there of) those perpetrators live by.
