The Kim Jong-Un assassination scene from The Interview is out. And it's terrible. - Vox
LEAKED: N.Korean Hackers Have Gone to Extraordinary Lengths to Stop You From Seeing This Scene | Video | TheBlaze.com
Alright, so this hasn't been picked up by major news networks yet but it's been making the rounds on the internet. I'm going to ask the mods not to move this until I can find a link from more reputable source. I have no words on the scene, but I know there are people in Sony Japan's headquarters who are ****ting their collective selves right now and pulling every string possible to stop this from hitting YouTube/Vimeo/Youku/Tudou etc.
Kim Jong-Un being immolated in slow motion, set to a soft cover of Katy Perry's "Firework" isn't exactly a forgettable scene. But it doesn't work — at least not in the way that comedy taking on a dictatorship is supposed to.
One way to deal with dictatorship through humor is to satirize it. Charlie Chaplin's Hitler is, of course, the gold standard here, but Team America: World Police's take on Kim's father, Kim Jong-Il, also works well. Team America's hyper-violent, petty, lonely Kim neatly exposes the same qualities in the North Korean regime.

Despite extraordinary efforts by suspected North Korean hackers to prevent “The Interview” from ever being released in the United States, the graphic scene in which dictator Kim Jong-un is violently killed has been leaked onto the Internet.
The video began circulating on Monday after it was posted by Defamer, but it was removed. The scene reemerged on Thursday morning and quickly went viral.
