Cops kill cow after wild chase through Pocatello's north side

As if that's relevant.

Go ahead and enlighten me then.

It's not up to me to enlighten you but, for example, when the TX parks and wildlife uses helicopters to kill 100s of feral pigs, there's not another way to stop their destruction.

When our neighborhood is, after a TXPW survey, granted a special permit to harvest some of our over-grown deer population, that's enlightening.

In OH, the problem is the coyote population.

They can be shot anytime, sans permit, anytime, as it should be.

We gave several packs on our acreage.

This is a debate forum. If you are going to assert that I'm ignorant of something then I would expect you to provide evidence that supports said assertion. For example, please support your contention that there is no other way to stop the pig's "destruction" besides killing them. What would happen if they weren't killed?

Yes, it talks about what I was already aware of actually. Like many state wildlife agencies their primary focus is on maintaining wildlife as a "renewable resource" for economic and aesthetic purposes. One thing that might certainly help this problem is if said agencies stopped artificially boosting wildlife populations so that a profit can be made off of selling hunting licenses as well as the hunter's passion for the "sport". If hunters only hunted to keep the population down then there would no reason to raise said populations in the first place. Of course, then again, hunters want to keep killing other animals for generations to come, and so their numbers must be "maintained" at a reasonable level in order for this to continue.

Here's a question: If hunting is the "solution" to the overpopulation of species then why are we still having problems?

Because we don't hunt enough.

Get along little doggie you're not my tripe.

That is bull that someone of your breed, obviously not seasoned enough, would speak to me in such a manner.

You got some kabobs.

Again, you don't have the facts.

If the pigs were not killed, they would continue to massively reproduce.

Deer do the same but, tend to stay in a given area their entire lives so, the effects or more pronounced and detrimental to the herd.

As for hunting, there are 3.6 million White-tail deer in TX [not to mention millions of exotic deer] with 700,000 hunters who have about a 60% success rate. [usually just 1 deer]

If hunting were outlawed today, you'd be more upset.

The licence fees go directly into these programs as well as maintenance/repair of all the state parks and wildlife areas. Do the numbers, it's not near enough money to be profitable.

That was your first misteak. Your second was milking it to death. I've got no beef with ewe, SMTA so don't horn in or we'll be having Rocky Mountain Oysters for dinner. lol
