US Congress passes Russia sanctions, arms for Ukraine.....

What I am trying to tell you is that "vast majority" that want western alliances and trade will cause further divide with those that side with more Russian influences. Putin knows that, then again so should everyone else.

Ukraine's national condition is not well, and will continue to degrade because of how pro-western leaning politicians handle their minority opposition. The worse that minority is treated, the more likely Putin will not back down. We will see more Russian forces camp the borders now that we have committed arms and training.

All giving me even more evidence Congress is acting stupidly.
Ukraine is fragmented - yes the sphere of Russian influence in the east is both military and Russian nationalism .
The militias there (separatists) have plenty of popular support, if not universal support.

Bottom line is Russia agreed to territorial integrity ( Budapest Resolution) - and then seized Crimea, and many reports show Russian troops maneuvers.
So what to do? I'd send lethal aid ( military) - it can only help retard Putin's ambitions, without any more Uk.political consequences

I'm proud that Congress has taken a decisive first step.

Russia needs to be hit with crippling sanctions. It's the only way to wake up the Russian people to stop electing Communist relics like Putin.
