I think Landrieu screwed herself by playing the race and gender cards at the end.

    giving the GOP 54 seats

first time the GOP has had two senators in that state.

surprised there wasn't a thread on this
With Landrieu's departure, as you said, it is the first time LA has had an all GOP senate delegation. As the AP reported late today, the GOP now holds all senate seats across nine states from the Carolinas to Texas. The unfortunate thing is that house delegations in the same region are divided almost entirely by race--white Republicans represent majority-white districts; most majority non-white districts are represented by blacks or Hispanic Democrats. But that may begin to change in another two years as minority groups are increasingly unhappy with Obama.

In January, the GOP will have its largest Senate delegation since the Truman administration which will be complimented by increased GOP seats in the House.

are you trying to derail this thread because you are mad that the Dems got their asses handed to them here or are you trying to be funny?
You are taking me too literally. My point was there was no surprise here, hence, no one rushed to make a thread. It really isn't news. In the end, what is different today that was not true yesterday?

    No, I was correcting you.

Here is my exact quote that you responded to.

The thing is the RNC pretty much stayed out of the midterms.

The GOP didn't really have to do a damn thing, just sit back and let all of Obama's policies decide the midterm elections.

RNC, that's the Republican National Committee, the GOP.

For example you have the CRA, the same political organization that Ronald Reagan belonged to. The CRA is made up of only conservatives, true conservatives. For a Republican to get an endorsement from the CRA is a big thing for Republican candidates but there are many Republicans who never get that endorsement. The CAR isn't the GOP.

FYI: It was the former President of the CRA who coined the word RINO.

In another two years, Obama ain't gonna be president anymore. You guys can't run against him forever.

Nobody's worried. Conservatives can count on the Democrats to field another ineffectual, non-leader for President in 2016.

It's going to easy to run against Obama's record, for a long time. All of Obama's **** ups are going to be with us for years to come. Democrats, for years have been running on the, "we're smarter than everyone else. Just let us run the show and everything will be great". They got their big chance and royally ****ed the dog.

Why not? Your side is still blaming George W. Bush for everything from hang nails to meteor strikes.
