thats nice and all, but its a logical fallacy to suggest you can find god in the parts science hasn't settled yet. People used to think God was in plants growing or in organisms just showing up in open sterile containers for example.

There's the difference. I'm not looking for God in science. He is science. Imagine the complexity of His formula.

Science will never explain the origination of the elements or the laws of physics that guide them. There is no possible scientific reasoning that would allow for the spontaneous existence of either.

It's not the Christians 'freaking out'. They're just carrying on the Christian traditions and customs enjoyed by people throughout the democracies for many, many generations.

It's the whining "Festivus" folks looking for equal time who are whining about Christmas, while the vast majority are indifferent to their goofiness and getting on with the spirit of the holidays..

This isn't about science or God, and you apparently aren't that familiar with either. It's about the spirit of Christmas, celebrating peace, love and good will towards man. What problem could you possibly have with that?

first amendment freedoms come first. The legality overrides the cultural arguments. Its up to individuals to decide whether they enjoy christmas or not.

Its not that I dont have a problem, but I dont care as its beyond the scope of what laws that town hall is bound to. Beyond that, like I stated, its up to the individual and not my problem.

Perhaps, perhaps not. Science is working on it. So be careful with that (what was the word you used?) arrogance you display be thinking you know what science is capable of.

I mean arrogance in the thought that any single person believes they can figure out the secrets of the world better than the billions of others past and present.

Scientific discovery, to me, is God's greatest miracle. I've never thought science and faith argue against each other. They support each other because it takes both to understand either.

You still don't get that Christmas is not just about God? Agnostics, atheists, and everyone in between, enjoy the Christmas season while you and others are trying to make this about scripture, or other side issues. Why not just accept Christmas for what it is and just enjoy yourself? Have you never celebrated during the Christmas season? Given a present to a friend or loved one? Wished someone a Merry Christmas?

It is a christian celebration, with roots in pagan celebration.

Putting up a manger, with Mary, Joseph, Jesus....how exactly is that NOT about god?
