Watch NASA Orion Test Mission, LIVE!

I don't buy into the BS Fiscal Stimulus Keynesian " solutions " that so many here continue to defend.

I don't support Government spending on Substandard Technologies that are being driven by ideology and the ridiculous false narrative of AGW.

And Government spending on things like a growing entitlement class is a TERRIBLE investment.

But I'm not opposed to all Government spending.

NASA has been around since the 60s and we've as a society benefited greatly from the technology that came out of US Space exploration.

The Moon missions were made possible with sure, allot of Government spending but it wasn't the Government that got Astronauts there and back 6 times safely

It was the private sector. It was Competition between Companies who were fighting for those contracts and it was the employees who were given the freedom to be truly innovative that pushed that technology to its limits.

Its why the Soviets stopped at low altitudes while we went onto the Moon. How innovative can you be when you have a gun to your head ?

It was one American Scientists that programmed the computer in the lunar lander. His innovations in writing code and building a operating system are still being used today.

He programmed in interupts and weighted processses and subroutines based on how critical they were to the operation of the lander and he did it in the 60s.

Windows uses interupts and weighs processes and subroutines in the same way

An alarm went off in the Lunar Lander as they were about to descend for the first time. They all looked at him in the Control room and he said don't worry about it.

The Computer is just kicking out non essential routines.

It was one American Scientists who came up with the concept of a lunar lander and made it a reality.

Werner Von Braun wanted to land the entire Appolo Rocket on the Moon.

Unfortunately NASA has been hit pretty hard by this President. Ive seen projects scrapped, and entire 5 story buildings layed off.

NASA inspired allot of American children to enter into Science and Engineering.

That's slowly disappearing because now we have a administration that would rather tell these kids that they're not nor their Country exceptional. That your'e limited by the inherant social and racial injustices you have no control over.

Thats BS.

Nor do you beleive in paragraphs :)

Successful launch !

Awesome. I literally got Goose Bumbs

Cant beat the entertainment value, but the price! They could at least give us a view of the launch from space though. NASA needs a Hollywood consultant to sex it up a bit (not that i would agree with paying for it)
