Protests in support of Eric Garner erupt in New York and elsewhere

Re: "Michael Brown's virus" has already infected the NY city.

Don't have any ill gotten wealth... I don't have any wealth at all really.... The government stole it....

So you are an upper middle class taxpayer then?

We have to first examine why that is....For example...There is nothing that says just because you were born poor, that you have to remain that way...This country provides opportunity all the time..

Agreed. I think the research we are doing into those areas will yield great results sometime in the future when we understand them better, and how to preempt them.

Re: "Michael Brown's virus" has already infected the NY city.

I got this phone for 50, bucks. I pay 30 a month. That is not wealth in america.

What a comical notion!

Compared to what we produce in this country the people get screwed.
What is it that you produce?

It seems to me that the best way we could help the black community is to open their eyes to opportunity, and work to break the chains of the liberal welfare plantation.
Or ya know, fix the schools.... That would really be the thing to do... Universal schools....

When will you cons realize that blaiming welfare is not only a losing policy politically, but that people would starve without it? Both white and black...

He says he is.... Oh, and "communism is utopia"??? I'm pretty sure the millions killed in its wake would disagree.
Explain to me how something that has never existed could kill millions?

A communist government is a oxymoron. It can't exist. Communism by definition has no government.

Stalinism is the word your looking for. Their is a huge difference.... Stalinism is actually closer to fascism or capitalism then anything because of the symbiosis of state and private entity's that will always form in all three...

Explain those reparations....What would you give people?
I would give the people that survived Jim crow money, and the community's i would fix houses schools, playgrounds, build gardens and community centers, make secondary education free, and make a police for that works for them instead of against them.

This is the only way we will ever break the cycle. The key is education. America is going in the opposite direction by privatizing education. This works poorly at best, or not at all at worst.

Re: "Michael Brown's virus" has already infected the NY city.

that, like most of your posts, makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
What does not make sense? Do you not know how to read?

Re: "Michael Brown's virus" has already infected the NY city.

Nope drug dealer.

The upper middle class and upper classes should be taxed more on capital gains and a few other places. Not less.

Re: "Michael Brown's virus" has already infected the NY city.

I used to produce weed. Now I'm going back to school for horticulture. Well bio then horticulture really.

So food, weed, other plants...

Re: "Michael Brown's virus" has already infected the NY city.

DeBlasio will turn back NYC into the ghetto it was 20 years ago.

LOL Your just jealous because you couldn't afford to live in that "ghetto". Real estate prices are skyrocketing in NYC.

The cost of a Manhattan apartment has finally topped the record set shortly before the 2008 economic collapse, a new report says.

Residential real-estate sales during the first three months of 2014 sent the average price of a Manhattan address surging to an all-time high of $1.7 million, according to the Halstead Property real-estate firm.

The previous record of $1.6 million was set during the first quarter of 2008.

Halstead’s latest “Manhattan Market Report,” released Monday, says more than 2,300 condos and co-ops changed hands between January and March, with sellers raking in 98-plus percent of their asking prices.

Co-ops commanded an average $1.2 million, while the average price for a condo was almost $2.4 million, the report says.

I am all for fixing the schools...There was a real program to do just that effectively in DC, and libs squashed it...As for blaming welfare, it is what it is...If there wasn't such graft in the system, and pols using it for votes creating generational poverty then we might be closer to agreement. But, people wouldn't starve, we have no objection to those really in need of help of getting that help because that's who we are in this country. But we don't like being scammed, and that's what your ilk does.

Are you a product of the public education system? I am thinking yes, so on that part at least you're correct.

What were you asking for?

For a significant change in police culture where violence is far less acceptable an option, and for police to face trial for their actions when they kill someone who isn't using lethal force themselves.

How did you fit that on a sign?

Have you considered asking for a significant change in the black thug culture where violence is a far less acceptable option and for thugs to face trial for their actions when they kill someone who isn't using lethal force themselves?

Most young black men are killed by other young black men.

I think I'm going to start charging every time someone says that in order to deflect from the actual issue being discussed. Most young white men are killed by other young white men, too. And there's just as much violent criminality from poor whites as there is from poor blacks. There's just as much "thug" culture. It's less DMX and more Breaking Bad. Except police don't kill young white men as normal course. I wonder what makes such a difference, since every other factor is nearly equal.

And, of course, I didn't mention race. I talked about police procedure and the rules governing their actions.

I think most people agree that this White against Black thing is being magnified by the MSM for reasons that may be political, but are certainly divisive.

While news of Eric Garner or Treyvon Martin can continue for months or years, other stories barely get a mention. Perhaps they shouldn't because it only stirs up further divisiveness and unrest but if these things are going to be reported perhaps all cases should be reported honestly. I don't think that is true....What is true is that if you fight a cop, and try to take his gun, you're probably going to get shot. If you resist arrest with 5 cops surrounding you, you're probably going to get taken down in not so polite action...What gets me about this is that somehow the people protesting these two's death, are somehow making the argument that each incident the cops should have said "oh, you don't want to be arrested? ok, carry on"... That's NOT how it happens...

So, here is where it goes eh...

What do you want? Dead Cops!
When do you want it? Now!

Keep going people...I'm sure it will turn out well.

It seems that what gets you is a complete lack of understanding of what's actually being discussed. And, of course, that police actually have probable cause to arrest people. The NYPD had no probable cause to arrest Garner. They simply decided, in complete disregard for the law that they are tasked to uphold, to attack and kill him.

That's funny, I was in that march and didn't hear anyone say they wanted dead cops. Also, the protest was well below 34th street by the time the sun set. I don't know who those people are, but they weren't part of the 50 or so thousand that I was marching with. The "what do we want" chant was followed by "justice". Just so you know.

Hilarious.

Black's have problems due to systemic poverty caused by racism. It could have been mitigated by things like reparations or good cheap schools, but cons have blocked such sane things at every opportunity.

What a load. Blacks can pull themselves out of the gutter if they wanted. But they don't want to because it's easier to live on government freebies.

They did have probable cause in both cases, but please do educate me to what is being discussed and by whom.

As for the video, it's right there on film, you can deny it all you want doesn't mean that it didn't take place.

We can hear what was being chanted, and its quite clear. That's why it's unwise to march with any mob, no matter whether my sympathy with their cause(as in the Garner case). Nor would I chant.

Blacks murder blacks far more than cops kill blacks. I know it does not fit your narrative. But that is by far the largest problem.
