Re: Democrats take to House floor in ‘Hands up, don’t shoot’ Ferguson protest

That the stupidity of "hands up don't shoot" has migrated to the Congressional floor is not surprising - our elected officials in some cases can be and are some of the most moronic people on the planet.

Joe Scarborough goes off the 2nd day in a row on MSNBC.

Joe: Cops don't shoot people with hands in air | MSNBC
“I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on what’s being proposed here, he’d agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute.” - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

Should have had the Sgt At Arms shoot them, their districts, and the rest of us, would have better off without them.

These politicians are complaining because when MB attempted to take someone's gun he got shot. They want to make sure that doesn't happen to them. They are not there yet.

They were elected in their districts. We would be better off without them. The business owners in Ferguson should have burned down the projects.

Just take race out of the equation, and you've still got massive mistrust built up between the people of Ferguson and the police (and by extension, the government they represent). Something needs to be done about that, but I don't think anybody's got the nads to do it. People on both sides seem more like they want to play the "I'm right, you're wrong" game, which doesn't help anything at all.
Then why do we have to hear repeatedly that 70% of Ferguson is black, but 90% of the police force is white, if that isn't the issue?

I'm going to guess that most of the residents of Ferguson are good people who have no issue with their PD, and like the comfort of knowing that they're kept safe by them, and a 911 call will get them help when they need it.
