The continuing civil protest of "Hands up, Don't Shoot" has nothing to do with the GJ action or Ferguson in particular.

Anyone that has a problem with the protests can go kick rocks.
The Al Sharpton/Tawana Brawley defense. Awesome!

I think what the left wants swept under the rug is the uncomfortable fact that their hero, and the impetus for all this, was nothing but a common criminal whose own actions resulted in his death. It had nothing to do with race which explains the desire to attempt to make these protests about a larger issue. And for the serial deflectors in this thread, I'm referring to Michael Brown.

I'm not opposed to that idea at all. I agree with the premise completely.

There's been a constant chant about how unbalanced the Ferguson PD is in terms of its racial markup. I've asked repeatedly (and never got the answer) why that is. Does anyone have evidence that blacks have been applying to be on the Ferguson PD for years but are being rejected? If there is blatant racism in the application process, that's something that needs to be addressed. But why is it that I suspect that blacks simply aren't applying to be on the Ferguson PD? There's been a rant about their mayor being white, but no matter where I looked, I've found no evidence that a black person ever ran for mayor there. They can fix these problems themselves....not sure why people aren't saying that.

A civil rights group mailer said Republicans are "trying to impeach our president."

No members of the current Congress have introduced legislation to impeach Obama, and Republican Party leaders have shut down the possibility. Some Congressional Republicans and candidates have called for Obama’s impeachment. But most of that rhetoric has been isolated to a few members of the party rather than a resounding chorus.

We rate this claim Mostly False.

OK, I will ask you once again:

Can you cite any example of that "hands up, don't shoot" being used before the Brown incident in Ferguson?

They didn't, but they are perpetuating a lie.

How often are people in this country shot by police while surrendering?

Just like it was reprehensible when GOP lawmakers called Obama a socialist (I actually happen to agree with you that he isn't). That was bad. That was stupid. However, I don't recall businesses getting destroyed and innocent lives getting ruined in a city anywhere in this country over the presumption that Obama was a socialist. Ferguson needs to calm down, not get revved up. The actions of these lawmakers was irresponsible toward that end, and I can't imagine that you don't believe that.

I am not surprise and even expected as much. With the divide and conquer strategy being used more and more, it is no wonder our leaders in Washington can not govern anymore. It is no wonder that polarization occurs, it is no wonder that this country is divided more today than in the past.

This doesn't deal with race, but it proves that this nation is becoming more and more divided:

67% of Americans see a more divided nation today than 4 years ago
    35% blame President Obama
    34% blame Republicans in Congress
23% blame both parties and the President

The divide and conquer strategies that both parties use to win elections is something I have been harping on for a long time. Apparently I am not the only one to notice how this nation is fast becoming more divided than ever. Abraham Lincoln once said, “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” This nation is that house.

Cmon now Pero. Its just a family squabble.....once the little brothers and sisters of the Leftism are shown they are not the Big Brothers like they thought. All will get back to being Right.
