I am not surprise and even expected as much. With the divide and conquer strategy being used more and more, it is no wonder our leaders in Washington can not govern anymore. It is no wonder that polarization occurs, it is no wonder that this country is divided more today than in the past.
This doesn't deal with race, but it proves that this nation is becoming more and more divided:

The divide and conquer strategies that both parties use to win elections is something I have been harping on for a long time. Apparently I am not the only one to notice how this nation is fast becoming more divided than ever. Abraham Lincoln once said, “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” This nation is that house.
Early voting in Georgia. On the 20th of October this old Goldwater conservative voted against both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton by casting my vote for Gary Johnson. Neither Trump or Clinton belong within a million miles of the Oval Office.
