I espoused a libertarian position on this. These people can make their speech and then deal with the social -- but never legal -- consequences.

No, I don't. I would have to do that if I were arguing that they were in violation of the terms of their employment, which I am not doing. I am simply pointing out that your claim that it is a right for them to engage in political speech while at work is incorrect.

It is related. The government can do nothing to these folk for having spoken out. They are certainly free to express their opinions. If the Rams or the NFL take issue with it, they may. But those organizations are not government and this was done on their time, so they get a say. But that's about it.

I'm a libertarian, and I don't see where you "espoused a libertarian position on this." Can you show me where the libertarian position on exceptional black football players being supported in protest and exceptional white football players not being equally supported in protest is documented?

Because you are unable to do so.

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

I don't suppose it would do any good to point out to them that their "hands up, don't shoot" protest and solidarity is ALL based on a lie and that this whole riot/protest situation is just a bunch of stupid people manipulated into believing that same lie.

If your opinion has nothing to do with anything, why do we all have to listen to it?

Was this allowed because it was about a black person?
And now the CPC race card. Good job.

Does that mean that they are not entitled to an opinion?

The whole TP "Obama is a socialist" schtick isn't really based in reality either, but I don't see you losing your **** over that.

Can you provide evidence that the Rams organization or the NFL authorized the actions of the five players?

imo, the team organization nor the NFL approved such actions.

1-you are wrong. I have defended Obama and specifically on the subject being a socialist.
2-no...they aren't entitled to an 'opinion' about facts. They ARE absolutely entitled to be wrong. They are entitled to ignore facts and make stupid decisions and label them a belief. You are entitled to defend their stupid decisions. But what you are doing is advocating that someone having an 'opinion' that 2+2=5 is their right. And see...that's not an opinion, that's a blatant, willful self deception. That's knowing better and still clinging to their stupidity. But again...you have the right to defend them.
