Yes, and the guy claiming the 97% number said 97% of papers expressing an opinion on global warming supported the consensus, not 97% of all papers on climate.

It wouldn't make sense to express an opinion on global warming if your paper is a paleoclimate reconstruction of temperatures from 100kybp to 400kybp.

    And your point is ????

Nobody said a paper on paleoclimate was included, unless the blogger that originally claimed the bogus 97% number included it.

You are talking about the IPPC's agenda driven 97%, right? Duly noted.

Of course they were included. They were papers on climate in peer reviewed journals.

A better analogy would be discussing the belief in gravity in physics. The vast majority of papers are not going to express an opinion on the existence of gravity, and the vast majority of those that do will confirm it exists.

But please, continue to 'destroy' us with your crack analysis.
Many Trump supporters have lots of problems, and those deplorables are bringing those problems to us. They’re racists. They’re misogynists. They’re islamophobic. They're xenophobes and homophobes. And some, I assume, are good people.

The people saying the 97% claim is bogus are counting all papers looked at. Many of those papers don't express an opinion on climate change in their abstract because it's not within their scope.

One more time... they looked at the SAME papers !!!

Mr. Cook’s work was quickly debunked. In Science and Education in August 2013, for example, David R. Legates (a professor of geography at the University of Delaware and former director of its Center for Climatic Research) and three coauthors reviewed the same papers as did Mr. Cook and found “only 41 papers—0.3 percent of all 11,944 abstracts or 1.0 percent of the 4,014 expressing an opinion, and not 97.1 percent—had been found to endorse” the claim that human activity is causing most of the current warming.

You're right, even the fastest move only a couple inches a year. But we weren't talking about world climate, he was asking about the mountains he lived in.

However, it may well make a change in global climate. Australia is moving north gradually removing Antarctica's polar current shield allowing warmer currents. It's been happening bit by bit and eventually will come that last inch that makes a tremendous difference.

    One more time: I KNOW.

Reread what I posted a few more times, maybe you'll get it.

To further illustrate the laughability of this comment, I'll note that we have not had a SINGLE MONTH that has been below the 1880-present AVERAGE since 1984. Thats somewhere about 350 months straight. So just having this November being below average would be remarkable, much less a month that is the 'coldest on record'.

Gill is apparently 'destroying' people very, very incompetently. But its a great source of laughs.

So, you have a bunch of Scientists, getting grants for their work, giving review of, and agreeing with others, and in turn submitting their own works, getting grant money, and giving review, and agreeing with others....
