'Black Friday' shoppers clash in the U.K.

Would you physically fight for a good deal?

I am the same way with small shops.....we have a Small Town Donut/Bakery/Coffee shop. They put up a Dunkin Donuts across the street from them. But the majority of the town goes with the Donut Shop. Which they are not open 24 hrs. The D&D is.

We use to have a Hostess Bread Store and Sara Lee. I use to go to them until they closed them down.

Although nowadays I don't really go out shopping much other than for groceries or to take the car in.

Going to the bakery is laziness on my part..if I walk another 400 yds..I can go to a supermarket..their bread is hot..half the price..

Looks like our customs are not spreading good cheer?

Is the poll exclusively talking about physically fighting for so-called good deals on Black Friday, or is it broader to include any good deal? Because if it is the former, no, I would not, but if it is the latter, then yes, I most certainly would up to and including to the death if necessary.

I wouldn't fight for anything in a store Jango...I'm much too snobbish..

Sounds like you're taking extreme positions? Fighting for a savings of money that you could use and the other out of the necessity to survive are two different scenarios. I'm talking about the former, not the latter.

Not for a TV or video game console, no, I wouldn't do it for that, but I would for water or food in a post-disaster scenario.

Situations, man, not positions. Anyway, I would not physically fight to supposedly save money -- money that I will make more of ;)

Hell.. so would I..they wouldn't stand a chance..:shoot

Better save them bullets though, melee weapons and :ninja: stealth FTW

Don't worry about me..I'm prepared..If anyone dares to jump a queue..

...so long as yer radiator cap is tightened...

Sorry, couldn't resist the urge to say that :3oops:

Actually I felt like Betty Boop..I had no idea what was happening..I opened the bonnet of my car..(trying to look knowledgeable)..steam pouring out..why do we open the bonnets of our cars when we have absolutely no idea??

Just one of those things, I suppose, like checking your pockets more than once for your missing car keys.

When my car was pushed across the bridge..I did notice some self satisfied peeps driving past me..whose cars were not pissin out steam..

Yep, rubber neckin' loony lookers. Almost as bad as the touchy feelers.

Conceded. Situations vary too much to have inflexible positions, though in general I also avoid friction and violence. If I snap quick, it's because it's the best possible thing to do.

Exactly -- domesticated when times are good and undomesticated when times get ugly.

I've never witnessed this so-called "Black Friday" phenomenon myself, and I'm beginning to doubt that it really exists at all.

I thought you had reached that point of allusiveness.

Nope, just pointing out the true blue humanist aspect, which you admitted to yourself, man -- you prefer to be a civilized man without resorting to violence but can certainly be pushed into violence given the right circumstances. I just used different terms than you're probably used to to reflect that reality.
