I agree that the Atlantic is a great cure for Democrats. Shovel them all in.

    A few points:

    1. It is amazing anyone would think the ideology he foments would have created anything but what has happened. He got 700 Billion, spread it around the crony Capitalist/Socialist way and has had a trillion dollars annually (can't really call them budgets because he didn't have any).

2.His goals have been to make people dependent, to knock the successful, even support thuggery (remember the AIG execs in fear of thugs... Occupy Wall Street). It all goes back to Pt. 1. This is who these people are.

    3. He's a liar, as is the foundation of their party ideology. Gruber revealed the typical Demokrat. Gruber revealed how they get their legislation passed, even when all their stuff has failed miserably. The Demokrats want people dependent so they look to government.

These people haven't figured out the best government, one that has a chance of functioning is a small government (or they have but habe too much invested in failure). That states should run their own shows, should be 50 experiments, so if one goes bad, others can learn and it doesn't harm that many. When the feds screw up, it hits everyone... and they Socialists have created some doozies... some real herion for the Gruber junkies.

In reality, Congress should be 80% Republican, but the press are the Gruber propagandists, they're salesmen for the idiocy, and many lazy and ignorant have bought the BS.

Good point about other things could also have been dealt with. It was never a health care or everything else choice. I worked my ass off to get Obama elected in 08 and I was overjoyed to read about his interest in FDR and the Hundred Days where Congress passed a ton of progressive legislation in record time since they had big numbers in Congress. Hah! What a joke it was to think that Obama might be the second coming of FDR. Sadly - we instead for Jimmy Carter. Obama squandered and waster big majorities in both houses of Congress and piddled it all away coming out with his weak watered down conservative inspired health care plan. Very sad indeed.

I don't think it was me you said that to, but your point is valid.

I'm viewing Schumer's statements are the act of desperate Democrats wanting to claw their way back up the cliff that Obama has led them over.

And that they promise to do better this next time around. You know, listen to what the electorate is telling them? But since when have the Demcorats ever listened?

My, my. How quickly a hero holding back the hordes of rabid right wingers becomes an "asshole".

This is so shocking to hear from a Democrat that I wonder if hes being sarcastic. Is his message really praising Democrats for doing what was "right" instead of what was political? Beyond all that he makes some great points. Most healthcare spending is by govt programs already, the rest through employers where they dont pay alot. So the ACA didnt help very many people, and those people dont even vote. And this was all at a time when the focus should have been on jobs and economic growth, financial stability, not new and bigger govt socialism.

The same might be said if immigration now. Why is politics focused on something which will help very few people, at a time when security, debt, deficits, spending, taxes, are more important? And this is confirmed in polling. Voters dont want amnesty, and they dont care about immigration as much as they care about govt taxing and spending, and regulation.

How did he vote on the ACA and the Republicans attempts to change and/or block it?

But it wasn’t the change we were hired to make; Americans were crying out for an end to the recession, for better wages and more jobs; not for changes in their health care. This makes sense considering that 85 percent of all Americans got their health care from either the government – Medicare or Medicaid – or their employer. And if health care costs were going up, it didn’t really affect them.

That is political speak for "I hear you, you don't like Obamacare and want better jobs......and Oh, don't you think I would make a pretty good president?"

    Hillary is toast.

I said it hear, you can hold me accountable, she will never be president of the United States

I don't like Schumer. I have never liked him. I have never said I liked him. I agree with Bubba's comment regarding Schumer. First and foremost, Chuck Schumer has always been a strong supporter of Chuck Schumer. Beyond that he does what Big Money tells him to do. Big Money/Wall Street owns Washington, both ruling parties. That is a surprise to you?

I'm not impressed by those who like to play both sides. My response wasn't to you, but you piped up like you were guilty.

I think he is wrong. They should have reformed health care. Too bad what they did failed to do that.
