If I was Darren Wilson I wouldn't talk to anyone.Especially considering the fact those rats in the media made the situation worse. They are more likely to edit and or twist his words to make him look like a racist.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

Bad move on Wilson's part. Arguably, George Stephanopoulos is in the camp that would want to see him charged.

I'm shocked - I didn't expect this to happen for perhaps years. Officer Wilson is either getting incredibly poor legal advice and/or he's a well meaning man but a naive fool.

He Hasn't done himself any favours as it came across a little scripted. Based on the evidence I support what the jury concluded however I have a couple of issues with what Wilson said tonight,

    - The "Hulk Hogan" comment sounds absurd especially when you consider that Wilson is 6ft 4 and is supposed to be trained to subdue grown men. It sounds like something a Lawyer told him to say.

    - In traumatic events such as these it is rare for people to have such clear memories of the situation so I am guessing he is filling in a lot of gaps with witness testimonies and a little bit of his own twist.

-. He talks about looking into Browns eyes and thinking to himself " Can I legally shoot". This one stood out for me as it is unusual for someone to have such clear rational thoughts in what was supposed to be a life and death situation. He was obviously struggling to contain Brown, was under threat and had been attacked. Seems unlikely to me that he would do the "math" in a moment like this especially since he had never fired his gun.

Still believe he was in the right based on the evidence but he would do well not to say much more as it stinks of lawyers speech.

Also consider that Wilson was still sitting inside his cruiser and that Brown weighed almost 100lbs more than he did. So it very well may have seemed to Wilson that Brown was towering over him.

It only takes a moment for the brain to decide if its a flight or fight situation. Wilson said he had to fight because he thought Brown was going to shoot him with his own gun. That would suggest that Wilson had his gun pulled out and Brown was close enough to try and wrestle the gun away or try to turn it toward Wilson. No doubt a struggle ensued and the gun went off inside the vehicle and grazed Brown in the hand(?) and caused him to back off(?) and allowed Wilson to pump him full of lead (6 of 12 bullets fired hit Brown). Apparently, the entire confrontation took place within 90 seconds. I think there was plenty of time to do the math.

Meh, the jury is still out for me.

Only takes moments for the brain to decide I agree but as you said it happened in a matter of secs and it's hard for me to imagine he was thinking anything but Survive Survive Survive. Been in similar situations during my tour of Iraq ( although nothing that close quarters) and my uncles served in Northern Ireland during the troubles and I have rarely if ever heard someone quote protocol when their life was on the line. I don't question his actions I just question is judgment now to speak to the media because they will pick him apart.

Part of survival training would be knowing when to pull a gun. And pulling a gun on someone at close range seems like a foolish thing to do because they might try to grab the gun away. Aren't cops taught to get out of the car before pulling a gun? Suppose Wilson is lying to cover up his own incompetence.

Speaking to the press and not showing any remorse.....you're right, he's not doing himself any favors.

Yeh It seems like he got himself into deep waters and panicked.

I've seen parts of the interview. Officer Wilson comes off as being very credible and consistent with his previous testimony and the forensic evidence. Ole Stef asks him in the end....."If you had it to do over again would you do anything differently?". Wilson immediately responds no. Then Stef pulls the race card and asks if Michael Brown had been White would the result be the same. Immediate 'yes' from Wilson.
