CNN: 1,500 more troops to Iraq

Just came over "breaking news" on the telly-o-vision.

Huh. Odd how that decision came just after the election, eh?

Before or after the election is irrelevant to me. I just wish the president would either do what it take to drive ISIS out of Iraq or just get the heck out completely and let the chips fall where they may. This limited this and limited that, this gradual escalation, seems to me all of this had been tried before some 50 years ago.

Either go whole hog or don't go hog at all. Getting in and winning the dang thing as fast as possible with doing whatever it takes will save lives in the long run. Pussy footing around and lengthening this thing out will cause a whole lot of more lives than necessary. I repeat, either do what is necessary now or just stop the whole thing cold.

This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

Wouldn't this have drummed up liberal votes? Especially from those that think Obama is too moderate.

Obama's Iraq is coming home to roost. More troops tk, and 5 billion dollars. And its transparently clear that he didn't want this announcement made until after the elections, this allowed him to avoid the headlines on tuesday, and appear to be working with republicans today (to clean up his own mess).

Just Obama's Iraq right? Not Bushes. Not our foreign policy for the last 14 years right? Just Obama's fault.

ISIS exists in Iraq today because president chump left Iraq to the wolves. We left, they filled the vacuum, and as a result many more have been and will be killed. Obama lost the peace in Iraq.

    How soon some forget history..
Remember Al-Maliki calling for us to get out of his country? Remember the Iraqi Parliament vote? Also ISIS (formally known as Al-Qaeda in Iraq) was formed in 2004.

Maliki wanted a minimum of 10K troops left behind in Iraq. The President told him he was on his own. Witness the results of the "not our problem" foreign policy.
