CNN: 1,500 more troops to Iraq

Does genocide, mass slaughters and institutionalized rape not have lasting effects and consequences?

Well yes it does. Did I indicate somewhere it didnt?

I think its because you appear to be an apologist for obama.

Actually no. I disagree with Obama's policy when it comes to Iraq/Syria/ISIS. I dont think we should be sending troops back in, I think we should of pulled out of Iraq way sooner.

So you blame Saddam first?

For Bush's actions decided to invade? No. Was Saddam a evil man? Yes. What were the reasons we invaded? Because Saddam was a direct threat to the US, he was helpping Al-Qaeda, and he was rebuilding his chemical weapons.

And yet you choose to namedrop bush. Why do you think that is?

"Namedropping"? Because you only hold one side "responsible" while conveniently ignoring the other side.
You claim I was an "Obama apologist" while clearly I am not.

Because anyone who denies that the ill thought-out and ill-advised invasion wasn't the main reason for the power vacuum in Iraq is delusional.

Except they were not.

Saddam killed more per year than Bush, by anyone's estimation. 5 years of Bush is a big deal, but 20 years of Saddam obliterating social capital and removing all hope of justice is meh?

The power vacuum was created by 20 years of the worst dictatorship on Earth. That power vacuum is social capital.

Maintaining a genocidal dictatorship and institutionalized rape for another few years would have helped? No, it would have further obliterated what little social capital remained.

I ignored nobody. ISIS wasn't a state until Obama. Bush isnt the current POTUS. Should we blame Clinton?

Ok. That does not change my rational and acceptance/agreeing with the invasion of Iraq.

ISIS has flourished under Obama, not Bush. Facts, Kobie-are stubborn things.

Terrorism in Iraq wasnt around when Bush was in office? Actually terrorism did not exist in Iraq before Bush decided to invade.

This is that dancing I was talking about. Its an intellectually lazy strawman. I didn't say there were no terrorists under bush (<---strawman), I said ISIS flourished under Obama.

Can you at least agree that ISIS has flourished under Obama?

Ok. That does not change my rational and acceptance/agreeing with the invasion of Iraq.

You don't need to agree with the invasion of Iraq to understand that 2 decades of genocide and institutionalized rape obliterates a nation's social capital and leaves a social power vacuum far more important than containing the inevitable meltdown with brutal oppression.
