Um.... didn't you read the part about how she is a black woman? In this administration, those are the credentials that she needs.

Remember, in order to make sure we carry forward the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr, it's important that we continue to judge people based on the color of their skin rather than the content of their character or their particular abilities to do a job well or impartially.

I just thought that I would point this very opportune matter of timing out.

EDIT: Using Harry Reid's (soon to disappear) demorat Senate majority.

Which I suspect will be the case...however, Harry is just stupid enough to make a fight of it. Were I strategizing for the Republicans I would make a minor fight of it while shrieking "see, they don't learn, they won't co-operate".

Then, when they start hammering the Dems with the Nuclear option Reid handed them they can say "we have no other alternative..."

Sounds like another Obama affirmative action appointment. If Lynch were a white male, Lynch wouldn't even be on Obama's radar screen.

    >" Lynch, 55, is a longtime federal prosecutor who has the unusual distinction of serving in her current job twice: She was U.S. attorney for two years under President Bill Clinton, and was disappointed that she was not reappointed by President George W. Bush. Obama reappointed her in 2010...

Lynch has solid liberal credentials, having been associated with the Legal Aid Society in New York and the Brennan Center for Justice, named for former Supreme Court Justice William J. Brennan, Jr., a liberal lion..."<

    Here one of her qualifications.

Inb4 only reason she got the job is she's a woman/black. Edit: Way too late.

Umm.. you have to ask? The timing is interesting, isn't it? Let's wait until after the election, but before the new Senators are sworn in.

That is a scary statement; it is not who is selected (or how?) to be stopped and frisked that matters here folks, but who is doing the stopping and frisking that counts. Hmm...

Sure. If the Democrats are in charge, stop and frisk is just hunky dory, never mind the Constitutional issues. If Republicans are in charge, then it is obviously racist, as most of those being frisked are black.

Does anyone but me find it humorous that her name is Lynch?

Perhaps a key liberal SCOTUS justice may have a health or family issue that requires similar immediate attention.
