President Obama sent 'secret letter' to leader of Iran

Obama thinks I'm the enemy. :lamo

Well, you aint the only one.

I would keep it secret too. Looking at all the warhawks in Congress, if they were allowed in on the letter it would look more like "Bombs. War. Meaty defense contracts. Love the US"

Americans.

Forget Ebola. Get yourself checked out for Obama Derangement Syndrome. It mutated from the same family as Bush Derangement Syndrome, but seems to be far more virulent.

I've got no problem with the use of secret back channels of communication with any country. I'm concerned more with what these letters contain and what promises Obama is making to Iran. What Obama and his team don't seem to realize is that they are absolutely horrible at negotiating..... anything. Iran will steamroll over Obama and the problem with that is, Iran may eventually get nuclear weapons. I'm not worried much about the strain on Saudi / Israel relations - once Obama is out of office and a new President comes things will reset to a degree. Iran with nukes will make the future very difficult and potentially will start the worlds first nuclear war where everyone will suffer.

It's also mutated to become airborne...

Here's someone infecting millions of people using air...

Do you have proof of that? There is verifiable proof Iran funds Hamas and Hezbollah.

...and which of those groups did Osama Bin Laden belong to?

Mornin' Ockham. :2wave: Correction.....Iran has already steam-rolled over BO with the negotiations. Not only have they hardened their facility. They also got BO and his team to be less restrictive over the Sanctions they had on them. While they have dicked around with the negotiations.

If it's a secret letter, than how do we know about it?

Communication CAN be good. Having a president running his own agenda...well...it at least has the appearance of being somewhat 'risky'.

We can either talk to each other or we can have a nice little war. (Hot or cold.)

If it was a secret one of two things are certain:
Obama is negotiating an illegal agreement
and/or he's putting the screws to The United States.

He could be negotiating a treaty which I'm sure that the Senate will support.

But only the old white male Americans who are the GOP's base.

That was true up until Tuesday. After that it now also includes old white females and black conservatives.

Keep me informed, I missed Kelly this evening. I'm busy refighting the Civil War right now.
If I need reinforcements can I count on you Nimby ?

The President continues to be wrong in not working together in secret with a select group of
GOP Senators/Representatives on these most important foreign policy issues.

I would prefer to have a discussion with you on the issues one day at a time.
Such as Sen. McConnell insisting that there will be a 5-day work week again in the Senate.
I am certainly heartened by this and expect Speaker Boehner to follow suit.

You and I are still what LBJ called "My Fellow Americans".
We have far more in common than what separates us.
I want the focus on today going forward to solve issues versus rewriting history.

I will be defending Sen. McConnell from anyone who attacks him unfairly no matter who they are in DC.

God Bless You as we approach next Tuesday's Veteran's Day and know my heart is still with my Dad
with me being an Air Force brat and a Son of the American Legion .

Or, he could be negotiating a treaty that never sees the light of day and that would be illegal.

I dunno, ain't been in New Mexico since 1997.

I can help you with that then. ;)

Republicans take New Mexico House for first time since 1950s

It was November of 1952 — two years before a kid named Elvis Presley would cut his first record and a time when no major league baseball teams could be found west of St. Louis. Before Tuesday night, 1952 marked the last time Republicans in New Mexico could celebrate on Election Night, knowing they had a majority in the state’s House of Representatives. That 62-year losing streak came to an end.

By 3:11 a.m., it appeared that six seats in the House of Representatives flipped from one party to the other — with five of those seats switching from Democrat to Republican. With the re-election of Republican Gov. Susana Martinez, that means New Mexico Republicans hold two of the three levers of power in the Roundhouse going into the upcoming 60-day legislative session in January......snip~

Iran's populace is by far the most westernized of the all those ME Muslim countries.

They are indeed. Remind me again how the Green Movement, when that westernized populace came out, worked out again?

Iran does not desire to make a caliphate which works well for us.

I think you may want to do some more research on Twelver Shi'ism.

Iran does not want a caliphate made which works well for us.

You may have accidentaly written this twice - but the response is the same. Yes, they do. They simply want to be the ones in charge of it.

Iran's mullahs get further and further up on the ropes by their own people every year. Iran is not the scary beast you guys are making them out to be. Saudi Arabia is.

Iran's mullah's were supported against their people by the Obama administration. Literally as they were being pulled by the Basij into unmarked black vans they were chanting "Obama you are with us or you are with them" and we decided we were with them because the administration wanted to prove that only idiotic cowboys like George Bush believe in all that naive "freedom" stuff.

I'm not sure how "hidden" Suleiman has been these past few months. For a QF leader, he's been remarkably public about his movement - especially with regards to Iraq.
