GOP seizes Senate

Prepare for the invasion of the newbie Republicans on DP.
They've been denying their brand since 2006 but winning one term has changed their tune .
Oooooh. The Republicans have taken over the Senate.

If we thought they were insufferable before ...

Can't wait to call them everything they lied about with Obama the last six years .

A great day for the GOP, Conservatives, and those opposed to the last six years of liberal fail!

We shall see. I for one am not getting my hopes up. The Republicans have ****ed their base in the ass before. They didn't even bother to ask if we wanted lube.

Nobody seriously thinks things will change significantly because of this, do they?

It was an expected GOP win and will be an even more expected nothing will change outcome.

No doubt. We have new kings of the ****pile. Yay.

We can only hope for the best.
Since the GOP will have solid majorities in both the House and Senate they should be able to implement their wondrous agenda.
Can't blame the gridlock on Harry Reid anymore.
We shall soon see.

My favorite Thomas Sowell quote is that the republicans favorite exercise is running for the hills. Hopefully they have learned a thing or two. I for one can't stand what wimps they are.

Yep. McConnell replacing Reid as Majority Leader isn't something to be happy about either.
Nope. Not sure if there is a happy alternative.

The repubs are getting their hopes up in the biggest partisan hack on the hill that's only goal was to make Obama a one term president? This guy's going to work across the aisle? Seriously?

The only reason McConnell won is he had his constiuents believing the loss of coal jobs was Obama's fault and not cheaper natural gas. What happens when the coal jobs don't come back?

When Congress has a 19% approval rating, only a fool would expect no change in party control.

We only have 2 parties, but I challenge you to bring forth proof that I or any other conservative have just joined the Republican Party or ever were members of it. Conservatism of any flavor only resides in one party that has a chance of winning. Supporting Republicans winning doesn't make me a Republican, but if that makes you happy fine. I'm certainly no Democrat, and never will be. And you parading around here as a moderate is not only ironic and dishonest, but a big ****ing joke.

The libertarian population will suddenly drop?

Nimby didn't expect a party change?

hmmm dont know if there was another thread or not but this was expected, its become the norm for two term presidents for the house to switch the last two years.
Not to mention this will simply mean government will be accomplishing LESS whether you want them to or not lol

this is why im an independent and will remain that way forever, its also why I dream of a day when we arent so two party driven in this county. Unfortunately that wont change in my life time.
