Assumptions and hyperbole.
He's spinning this like a kid's toy top, just like he's paid to do.
Assumptions and hyperbole.
Assumptions and hyperbole.
WOW!!!! Where do you jump to the grand canyon conclusion that I am taking credit for the GOP taking the Senate? That is just amazing for you to say something like that!
As I have been saying for quite a while now
Why in the world are you using this as some sort of really lame attack on me instead of discussing the actual post?
Again WOW!!!! You chose to attack instead of discuss. This morning on many of the shows there is already talk of a WHite House that wants to work with the GOP in Congress and is willing to compromise. So my doubts about his resolve are already valid.
and hopefully by the majority of voters
WOW!!!! Again you opt to be involved in a petty attack on me instead of recognizing a scenario for future events that I laid out long before last night ever happened.
Nobody seriously thinks things will change significantly because of this, do they?
As long as voters keep voting in either a Dem or GOP then the country will never get out of this rut. People keep saying they hate gridlock and arent happy about government yet they keep voting in the same people thats causing it- the two main political parties! :doh
. What lies? Can't wait to call them everything they lied about with Obama the last six years .
I'm hoping they will pass bills abolishing the EPA and the IRA. Obama will veto them, of course, but it would set the stage for 2016.
Immigration reform: Give them all work visas and let them get in line behind everyone else for naturalization - no increase in numbers. Dare Obama to veto that.
And about a billion bills that cut taxes and regulations.
You and exactly who else? There's over 300 bills sitting tabled. You can start there, and maybe you'll get an idea or two.
Good job GOP and " eff " off Ried you useless POS.
I guess this means the lefties on the sight are going to be even more sour than they usual..
Good morning, humbolt. :2wave:
When even the Dems were questioning why their bills - which had bipartisan support - were being tabled, that should have been a wake-up call! Maybe we can now start getting rid of some of the backlog by bringing them to the floor for a vote, and let the country see who's doing what to help or hinder the process. Everything that's proposed by someone is always not a good idea, and we all know that, but at least they'll finally get an airing, which is only fair. I hope so!
In Texas, Wendy Davis got her ass handed to her.
Not only did she lose her Gubernatorial race she lost her former State Senate seat to a Tea Party candidate.
Lol !
I'm laughing at the notion that anyone believes there are still Christians left in the Democrat party.
In fact, anyone who votes for a liberal democrat on religious grounds these days, may as well paint a pentogram on their living room floor.
It will be indeed. The political pendulum has swung once again. At least we have a pendulum that swings. Better than an Autocracy or Theocracy.
I'm hoping they will pass bills abolishing the EPA and the IRA. Obama will veto them, of course, but it would set the stage for 2016.

this makes it sounds as if you knew the senate would fall in the GOP'S hands, as if its part of your steps......however this information was already known for a very long time.
haymarket you know as well as i do, any legislation which is passed by congress is going to be labeled.........."right wing"...this does not take a prognostication to be part of your steps
your story of the workers.... "will of the people", is as what it looks like a rant........sorry but that's what it is.
so it not going to matter who the GOP picks.....hes going to be labeled as a right wing extortionist, rich person, who wants to screw the people.
again where is the attack?
He's spinning this like a kid's toy top, just like he's paid to do.
Nice hyperbole, no true Scottsman huh? Since when do YOU dictate who is Christian or not?
So most Catholics are satan worshipers to you since they vote mostly democrat?
Its not information until it happens. Before it happens - its a prediction.
Do you have any idea how many bills Congress MUST PASS in a session simply to keep the government running and are not at all controversial? They will NOT be labeled as right wing. Your comment shows a fundamental ignorance as to how a legislative body works and what their responsibilities are.
Perhaps to someone on the far right who does not like others telling it like it is.
Was Dwight Eisenhower labeled by they democratic candidate running against him as a right wing extremist? What about Nixon? Or Ford? Or George W? or Junior?
Perhaps Reagan was because of his staunch conservatism - as well as McCain.
In other words, the label must fit.
So lets see when it happens. Until then, I stand by my prediction.
The attack is you trying to pick at me making it appear that I suddenly found this this morning and its all just sour grapes and politics against the right. The attack is you trying to make it sound like I took credit for events that I did not take credit for.
Of course, the real question to you now is why you have to resort to crap like that?
LOL.
Given the fact that the GOP cant pass anything in the House except for 'repeal Obamacare' bills that they only pass because they KNOW they will go nowhere, I'd be stunned if the rational portion of the House GOP can align with the teabag nuts and come up with any reasonable legistlation on anything significant that can get thru the Senate.
I expect the Senate will do a bang up job blocking every administration appointment for the next two years, talk a lot about how immigration reform is really, really important (but not actually do anything), and rip into Obama's EPA reforms, with occasional pauses to shut down government over budgets and the debt ceiling again.
That's about it.
What baffles me is that GOPers are still duped into thinking that the newly elected GOP Senators actually favor a repeal of PPACA, instead of merely saying they support the repeal to get re-elected.
hmmm dont know if there was another thread or not but this was expected, its become the norm for two term presidents for the house to switch the last two years.
Not to mention this will simply mean government will be accomplishing LESS whether you want them to or not lol
this is why im an independent and will remain that way forever, its also why I dream of a day when we arent so two party driven in this county. Unfortunately that wont change in my life time.
