I agree. That was my whole point in noting that the present body of empirical evidence does not allow for one side or the other to make such claims.

Just so it is clear, my point concerns only the U.S. political situation where people have free choice over the leaders they elect and through those leaders influence over policy choices. The USSR did not allow for free elections comparable to what occurs in the U.S. and the West. There's a difference between reaching consensus on a matter based on evidence and compelling an outcome.

In terms of economic outcomes, communism has been discredited. Marxist economies fell vastly short of mixed market-oriented ones in terms of producing higher living standards. The empirical evidence is fairly clear even when the major variables are held as equal as possible in the real world (East Germany vs. West Germany; North Korea vs. South Korea). China's remarkable economic expansion has been the result of its shifting to a market-oriented economy, even as it has retained a communist political monopoly.

The GOP did attempt to work on the issues. However most of the bills that were passed by republicans in the House were bottled up by Harry Reid in the Senate if he did not like them. That included bills that had bipartisan support. And as much as the democrats want to see impeachment proceedings which they feel benefited them when they were held against Clinton, the GOP is not going to waste time on impeachment proceedings. "Hussein" Obama will serve the final two years of his second term.

Not even close. It is the high corporate taxes imposed by democrats in Congress and Obama that are driving jobs offshore. We have the highest corporate taxes in the developed world. You can also blame the out of control labor unions. And it is the democrats who are messing with SS and Medicare....especially Medicare. For the sake of financing Obamacare they have robbed over half a trillion dollars from medicare and lowered the reimbursement rate to doctors who treat Medicare patients to less then it costs to treat them. That is creating a doctor shortage in regards to Medicare patients. And moving funds from social security to the general fund for pork barrel spending was started by a democrat president...Lyndon Baines Johnson.

If not, then it will be just more of the same, that is, gridlock and nothing getting done.

This only increases the dysfunctional state of affairs in Washington DC.

Oh wait, sorry, I guess you were being sarcastic, never mind.
At least to a point, they can stop "Hussein" Obama.

For conservatives this composition of government is gridlock for anything spending related. That's really good.
I will take gridlock over the devastation of the first six years of the Obama regime.

What that demographic cohort accomplished in all aspects of life attests to that cohort's capability. We owe a lot of the opportunities we have had in life to those veterans, both for their sacrifices during WW II and for what they accomplished afterward. Arguments that they were/are "uneducated" have no merit whatsoever.
If there was an option to "like it very much' I would have done that. For a party who claims they're not 'elitist' it would certainly appear that way sometimes.

America just elected the least popular party to the least trusted area of government. I sense confusion.
I sense confusion as well. Want to know where? Look in the mirror.

So...the robotic equipment in many of the automobile assembly plants in the US is actually Asian children? Interesting.
