"Fly-over" country voted, and The Donald is now POTUS.

As long as voters keep voting in either a Dem or GOP then the country will never get out of this rut. People keep saying they hate gridlock and arent happy about government yet they keep voting in the same people thats causing it- the two main political parties!

Of course predictions are based on assumptions. Assumption made over a lifetime of observation. Like my kids used to say when they were teenagers and their old man said something painfully obvious - DUH.

What specifically do you find as hyperbole?

One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

haymarket you know as well as i do, any legislation which is passed by congress is going to be labeled.........."right wing"...this does not take a prognostication to be part of your steps

    where is the attack????????

your story of the workers.... "will of the people", is as what it looks like a rant........sorry but that's what it is.

I think the republicans will try to defund the EPA and anything else they don't like.

...And they'll likely stuff the budget bill with anti-abortion bills and whatnot and then threaten to shut down the gubbamint if Obama doesn't pass it.

Basically, people just voted to shut down the government. That could significantly change things.

And about a billion bills that cut taxes and regulations.
Yes. We certainly want the Irish Repbublican Army outlawed. Or did you mean Individual Retirement Accounts?

Or did you mean the IRS? Because theres nothing that says 'freedom' than taking away the ability of the government to actually collect money to govern.

i can only hope they do crazy **** like you mentioned. That sets the stage for their spectacular death now that they have to actually do something rather than complain about the democrats.
Many Trump supporters have lots of problems, and those deplorables are bringing those problems to us. They’re racists. They’re misogynists. They’re islamophobic. They're xenophobes and homophobes. And some, I assume, are good people.

    Good morning, humbolt.

When even the Dems were questioning why their bills - which had bipartisan support - were being tabled, that should have been a wake-up call! Maybe we can now start getting rid of some of the backlog by bringing them to the floor for a vote, and let the country see who's doing what to help or hinder the process. Everything that's proposed by someone is always not a good idea, and we all know that, but at least they'll finally get an airing, which is only fair. I hope so! :

Many of us so called lefties don't like Reid either. He's McConnell's counterpart.
