Sen. Landrieu's remarks on race anger Republicans[W:466]

Republicans are calling on Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu to apologize after she suggested Thursday that President Obama's deep unpopularity in the South is partly tied to race.

Anyone in the GOP who doesn't recognize the fact that the GOP has close to zero support from Blacks in the USA Is out of touch with reality

Does anyone have any idea why so few Blacks support the GOP/

Anybody who doesn't realize that Landrieu's remarks were made because she may just lose her race isn't paying attention.

I agree with Governor Jindal that Landrieu was speaking divisively here and add that it was for the most transparently self-serving and desperate of reasons.

Obama's not running; she is. Let's see if she can outrun the criticism.

Pathetic racebaiting from a desperate and pathetic person.

Desperate and repugnant antics didn't help Wendy Davis much in Texas; they won't help Mary Landrieu in Louisiana.

Some people in the GOP can't deal with the truth. But in the future the truth will deal with the GOP.

    Landrieu is desperate.

And she didn't limit her remarks to African-Americans; she also said that in the past women in the South had to struggle too.

The question is whether she'll succeed in getting out the vote. We'll know in a few days.

Boy did she step in it this time. Hasn't she noticed the skin color of her own governor the good people of Louisianna voted for twice?

Yet she is calling her own constituents racists? What an idiot.

Edit- I forgot to mention Governor Blanco, the female governor the good people of Louisiana voted into office prior to Jindal. Guess her sexist comments don't hold up either.

What does black support for the GOP have to do with Landrieus comments? Why nothing. It is simply an attempt by you to deflect what she said and make the issue about republicans. Obama isn't unpopular in the south because he is black. He is unpopular in much of the nation because his policies suck and his leadership is non-existent. But you go right ahead and defend this womans pathetic attempt at blaming her and her presidents unpopularity on the sexism and racism of the voters of her state. Brilliant move Landrieu--insult the people whose votes you are trying to get. Look for her hosting a show on MSNBC next spring because she wont be in the Senate.

So Mary represents a bunch of racists and sexists. She should resign if she believes that, and she should move up north, where such people don't exist. Detroit could use some of her family's money. It's a little cooler up there, but hopefully not as cool as the reception her remarks will receive next Tuesday.

What has the democratic party done for black people? What good is it to them to vote democrat? I just don't get it.

Liberals should be embarressed as hell that the race card is all their party has. "It's because Obama is black", is probably the most idiotic statement in human history.
