I agree with you. However , from my experience, I face more in your face racism from right leaning crowds than left leaning crowds. The left leaning crowds feels more inclusive to anyone. Blacks, whites, hispanics, gays etc. Left leaning crowds are more likely to celebrate and embrace different cultures. Nobody is worried about the skin color of the other. You feel like you are welcome. Right leaning crowds are different. From my experience, they will be nice to you, but it seems like it is forced. There is only one culture embraced generally.

I understand what you are saying, Democrats do go to the racism toolbox too many times to demonize the right. However, republicans play race card too many time as well in the form of "The big black boogie man".

    For example:

How many stories did fox have about the "knock out game" ? What do you think was the sole purpose of airing this story? was it to bridge racial division? They made it look like a epidemic even though the average white person in America has not even encounter such of act nor do they know anyone who has.

What about Rush Limbaugh? He told his listeners that Obama's America is black kids beating white kids.

How about Glen Beck? He told his listeners that Obama has a deep seeded hatred for white people.

The list goes on and on.

Its okay to criticize. But understand what the problem is before addressing it. You can't diagnose the problems about a car withour going under the hood. Most of the black knowledge comes from the media. And I don't care what Fox news say. The media has never been a friend of black people.

Got a news flash for you. Did you know that majority of blacks don't even like Al Sharpton? But if you look at the news, you would think that we worship him. Don't take my word for it. Ask the average black person what do they think about Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

We don't need the democrats to tells us who we feel are against us. The right does a great doing that on their own. Screwing around with the way we go out and vote is another good example. Let put politics on the side for a second. We all know the true reason why republicans are so interested in implementing this "voter laws" all of a sudden.
    Good morning rcart,

Can't say I agree with you on the voter laws issues these days. I can't believe anyone who values their own personal vote condones a system where that vote isn't protected and honoured and kept meaningful by eliminating as much as reasonably possible voter fraud. Are there some who have ulterior motives? Probably. Just as there are probably just as many who want to keep the system loose so that abuse can happen.

As for loud mouths on the left not being supported by those on the left, I'm pretty sure you'd find that Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck, and the like aren't any more popular with the majority on the right. Each side finds their loud mouth idiots somewhat entertaining but few take their direction from any of them.

    Okay seriously??

Eliminating Sunday voting eliminates what type of fraud again? C'mon man, you seem to be a intelligent guy, you know why the GOP is so eager to push this.

We don't have Sunday voting in Canada. Other than collectively shaming churchgoers into voting as a hive by frog marching them onto buses and to polling stations, what's the big need for Sunday voting?

I made no excuse. I simply pointed out what the story reported - the system worked perfectly just the way it was designed to prevent fraud. I thought that was what you want to happen?

So why do most republicans think that black people take their marching orders from Al Sharpton? Also, the Tea Party idolizes Glen Beck and his crazy conspiracy theories.

The workers who work the polls for the city or town who check you in and check your identity before you are allowed to vote. Not once in over forty years have I ever been allowed to vote without going through this official procedure presenting myself to the poll workers and providing the identification that the law requires.
