Baloney. I see the poor spending the cost of ID all the time on beer and tobacco products. Strangely I have also seen them showing a valid drivers license or state ID card to do so.

Voting is a right, period, and if the requirement to exercise that right becomes a serious impediment, then that needs to be taken into consideration before making it a requirement.

God forbid we have one thread where you don't try to make everything about your precious guns.

No more than it's a "gun tax" to "force" people to go to a gun dealer to buy a gun.

    People can vote by mail.
Voting is a right as long as you can prove who you are. And btw...some states are now requiring a valid ID to vote by mail.

You don't want them voting because they don't vote for Republicans. And you wonder why people claim that certain voter ID laws are a means to keep Democratic constituencies (read: poor and largely minority) away from the polls. Thank you, you just made my argument for me better than I ever could. Keep up the good work.
You are making it up as you go along. I don't care who they vote for as long as they are legally entitled to vote. And anyone who is legally entitled to vote should be proud to show a valid ID.

Thank you for ignoring the entire conversation.

Nothing in that article shows any disenfranchisement. All US citizens can easily obtain a valid drivers license or state ID card.

And those who are off the grid are there by their own choosing. If they want to vote...they should obtain a valid ID.
