Yes, for nearly 100 years, Blacks have been scared by the Dems into voting for Dems.

The Republicans do not like the truth publicized so blatantly....they would like to pretend racism is not the problem. Thanks to the power that be there is nothing constant but change.

They do fall for it, it works or else they wouldn't do it. It is the politics of divide and conquer. Only by dividing even if you win, you have a divided nation, a divided state or district or whatever. You won, but at the cost of having one group of Americans hate another group.

I miss the old days when elections were about ideas, visions, solutions instead of mud slinging and trying to get the voter to hate the guy just a bit more than they hate you. Its no wonder those who are identifying themselves as independent has shot up from 30% in 2005 to 47% today. I think more and more people are just getting tired of both parties.
This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

Racism exists because Libbos keep things stirred up. They create more racism than they prevent.

    Oh, liberals create racism.

Go ahead and show some examples, by all means.

    Oh, wait....you don't support your arguments....I forgot.

I think you are being sarcastic there. FDR and the hope he provided is what changed what blacks could vote pre-depression from Republican to Democratic. But most of the nation went that way, not just blacks. Blacks had been the most loyal Republican voters from the civil war to the great depression, now they are the most loyal Democratic voters.

What an irrelevant argument to make. That the overwhelming majority doesn't suit your standards for the voting to be based on geographic lines is your problem. As for the second ridiculous point, it was the Southern Democrats who broke away from the Democratic Party in 1948. Lol. Where did you think Dixiecrats came from?

Northern support... for what? They literally voted in opposition to each other. Again, you're really trying hard to fight the facts.

    Already addressed, however:

Dixiecrat - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Now, whether you think one section should have broken away from the other is completely irrelevant. It has nothing to do with the discussion. Ignoring the support of what? Northern Democrats of racist policies? See, there you go with the weird sentences and no facts. The facts don't lie mac, overwhelmingly in 3 different CRA votes, Democrats came out in large droves. 3 times, more than 50% voted in favor of CRAs. 3 times, those votes were divided along geographic lines. 3 times, the Democrats who voted against it were Southerners for the most part. Alabama(D), Arkansas (D), Mississippi(D), Georgia (D), South Carolina(D), Virginia (D), South Carolina (D) - against....... in contrast...Rhode Island (R), NJ (R), NY (R), Vermont (R)... in favor... hmmm odd, those look amazingly familiar... I wonder why?

You're refusing to answer a questions. I wonder why. Once Democrats changed their stance on segregation (and they did), what happened to voters who were pro-segregation? Did they migrate North? Did they stay put for the most part? Did they disappear? C'man mac, I want to hear you bull**** your way out of this. What happened to these people after 1964? What happened to the high schoolers who were pro-segregation? What happened to the 20 year olds who'd be in the 70s by now? Did they simply stop existing? They didn't raise kids or pass down their values? Again, I'm trying to see why you find the statement so flawed when you've literally spent the last 4 pages ducking and dodging questions.

Dear Poster Who Bases His/Her Words On Facts,

Screw facts . . . the October sky produces too much rain . . . deny that. I think I've proven my point, and any attempt to make my claim false, reinforces your ignorance as it relates to the history of American politics (Turning off passive aggressive sarcasm). To the people who make claims like, "Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Regan couldn't be mainstream Republicans today," you are in denial, and rely too much on historical fact. Screw reality . . . let's smoke pot (OK OK . . . NOW I'm turning it off).

I may be wrong, but since Abe Lincoln, the GOP has become the Democrats and Dems have become the GOP. I am not going to get into who is racist and who isn't. However, I will state that anecdotally, and through my military assignments, I spent a majority of my stateside duty in the South. The black people I knew appreciated the South much more . . . racism there was more out in the open, up North, it was more of a secret and could blindside them at anytime. Oh yeah, and like 95% of black folk vote democrat . . . but I realize this is a fact, so therefore it is debatable and there has to be another side to a fair and balanced story (OK, now I'm really done).

    Signed
I do Not care About Facts.

On a side note . . . for those still in doubt or claim otherwise . . . racism still exists . . . deal with it.

The Left has to have a crisis to legitimize their vakue as a party. If they don't have one, they'll create one.
