What God is it that doles out being a homosexual as a gift?

He has been "out" for quite a while, so why is this news, let alone breaking news?

You can have my iPhone when you pry it from my cold dead fingers.

You're right. It should have been put into blogs. My bad. I reported it.

mr. cook is being a little silly with those comments.

LOL.My Galaxy Note 4 blows it away.

True story. I went to England just recently and my buddy I there with has a Samsung. He could never get his GPS to work, so I pull out my iPhone, opened the maps aps and Siri came through like a champ. Everyone I know that started with some other smart phone has ended up with an iPhone.

Too small. I love my Note.

Seriously? Wow. Apple would have to actually PAY me, and pay me mucho buckos and even then I'm not sure I'd give up my Samsung.

Smart phones are what they are because of the iPhone. Everything else is basically an imitation. I get it though, whenever something is really popular there's always a backlash from those who think they're too cool to like what's popular. :fueltofir

Where that gift receipt? Wonder what the return policy is?

Tim Cook believes in God? Huh. How 'bout that.

Not really true. Cook is/was suspected to be gay, but he never confirmed it publicly.

This is news because the difference between Cook and my generation (or most of us anyway) is that we're "out" publicly. If I were ever to become a CEO, everyone in my company and even the public would have already known for decades.

Nah. I just don't like the OS or the interface. I can barely stand my IPod as it is.

And cars are what they are because of the Model T, but that doesn't mean I should buy a Model T.

I switched to a Samsung because Apple was failing to actually continue to add anything substantial to the newer iPhone versions. At the time the Galaxy S3 was an upgrade but the latest iPhone was not. A lot of the "new features" added to each iphone iteration are actually software, not hardware, and work fine on the previous version.

Of course, like Apple, all smartphone manufacturers seem to have stagnated lately. The S5 over the S3 has... what, a heartbeat sensor? Why the **** would I even want that on my phone? Minor camera upgrade, still using the same tiny-ass lens that is on every cell phone. At some point, shoving more pixels into the sensor doesn't help much. What do you even add to a phone at this point? Higher resolution display? 1080p on a ~5 inch display is already pretty ridiculous pixel density, and you'll still be hamstrung by battery limitations.

I know, I have an idea. How about one of you smartphone manufacturers comes up with a phone that actually has decent audio quality for phone calls?

I thought he was on the edge of coming out with his support for complimentary causes in addition to long-standing rumors. That being said I don't think he was quite publicly out.

Regardless, this probably won't influence much. People tend to react to tech companies by the way they feel about that company's products and vision. How they feel about each individual CEO or executive is often somewhat separated from that.

Audio quality for phone calls is not going to be improved by a company's chipsets. If these phones can otherwise satisfy many audiophiles armed with portable headphone amps, you have no reason to think this is anything other than the problem of our existing infrastructure.

... I wonder how many Christians will decide to stop using Apples because a gay man runs it. I'm sure they'll use other computers from now on.

The rumor has always been there outside silicon valley, but was widely accepted in silicon valley. But a few months ago a journalist on CNBC blurted it out on TV and basically confirmed it. Simon Hobes is English so not only did he think it was public knowledge but to him (like most Europeans) it aint a big deal. He apologized big time about it, but the genie was out of the bubble.

Since then it has been widely accepted that he was but yes he only just now publicly admitted it.
