Not true. Kasperov's innovations in resurrecting the French Defense were strokes of genius, and his moves and strategies are studied by grandmasters to this day.

I've lived in both Ukraine and Crimea. I never once noticed any US shenanigans either personally or in the local print/digital media.

I did not read it at RT, I read it at Global Research, and though it retracted it pretty quickly, the BBC actually showed footage contradicting Kiev's assertion.

They operate in the shadows, behind the scenes, just as they do in this country in propaganda efforts. Spies, spooks, covert operations, ya know? Black ops and secret funds, kinda like we did in Nicaragua or Persia back in the day.....if you're old enough to remember all that.

No, not really. The conspiracy seems to have been hatched either in Kiev, Washington or NATO HQ, I don't know which. But certainly the Pentagon was heavily feeding the MSM as to "certainty" that was then never backed up with facts.

No, rather a local conspiracy it appears, not a global one.

I dropped by Maidan and spoke with many people. Almost all were just regular people who deeply desired a new direction. At independence, Ukraine and Poland were roughly even-Stephen across-the-board. All Ukrainians have to do now is drive across the Polish border to see for themselves the disparity in virtually every metric. The obvious is unmistakable. The EU is a far better social/legal/economic modus than the Russian model.

We still are. We now have combat experienced troops, a new navy, better espionage tactics, and we still got the main weapon: the bomb.

Other super powers exist. But china is not going to stay strong. Russia? Russia has never been a true powerhouse globally speaking.

Most of those combat experieanced troops are burned out and most have already left the service. And those soldiers and Marines have been fighting a low intensity war for the past 15 years. War with Russia or China will not be a low intensity war. Both have navies, air forces, armor and each are able to put 10 million ground troops on the battlefield.

Most of the Army's combat brigades are rated as not combat eguipped and trained. Last year only 3 out of 33 Army combat brigades were rated combat ready. 1/2 of the Marine Corps isn't combat ready. 1/3 of all Air Force squadrons are still grounded and not flying because of Obama's sequestration.

    What new Navy ???

40% of the Navy's ships aren't mission capable. In layman terms they can't put to sea and fight.
    In 2008, it was 17%. By 2011 it was 27%. Today it's 40%.

Moral is low just not with in the Officers Corps but also in the NCO corps. Thousands of NCO are leaving the military before they get their 20 years in. You ask them why ? The military isn't the same military it was seven years ago. In the Officers Corps you have tens of thousands who were originally planning on a thirty year career are now planning on leaving the service once they get their twenty years in. Ask them why ? Same reason, it's not the same military it use to be. Just keep your mouth shut and hope you don't get purged before you get your twenty yeas in for staring at some girls boobs.

We have a hollow military force today and Putin knows it. Putin also knows it will take trillions of dollars and six or more years to repair the damage that has been inflicted on our military during the past seven years.

Experienced troops are still in service and their training AND lessons exist. Russian and Chinese navies? Oxymoron really. They are not even close to the United States. The united states still has technological superiority in all of the listed areas. And I wonder how our cyber warfare has developed. That is now important as well.

How long would it take to get them combat ready? By our standards? Not conscription troop levels(china)?

Compared to Russia and China it might as well be 2030 for us and 1970 for them.

Check out our aircraft carriers. They control the seas. Still. The Russian and Chinese navies are still using antiquated Cold War era ships. We have what? 288 combat ships? 72 submarines? Our naval numbers are the largest world. Hell china outranks Russia and they literally JUST got considered as a "blue water" navy. They are still a joke. They might as well be in canoes with BB guns.

Then consider our airbases that can strike ships. All of that. The United States is STILL the best navy in the world. China and Russia can only hope to be regionally strong unless they shut down huge portions of land troops.

Putin would be a MORON to try anything. We still got the bomb. Our navy, tanks, jets, tech, all of that...it outclasses his. We got drones. We got spies. We have computer viruses. We have submarines. Putin has nothing to gain fighting us in a war. Only death. And we would win. Our "hollow" military is still globally projecting itself. Russia will never be strong beyond regional strength.
