Re: Hillary Clinton slams trickle-down economics, 'business' doesn't create jobs?

Business responds to consumer needs and wants, that is where most jobs come from. Some of our wants are unrecognized until someone invents something that makes life easier, more productive, etc. The education system is hard pressed to keep up with the changes over the last few decades.
As for creating jobs, I would say it is the entrepreneur.
We need some of their skills to create a more responsive education system.

I'm not defending her at all. The question stands - if you believe in "trickle down" how much has trickled down to you?

    Do you not understand that?

Maybe some people are either stupid or not motivated?

Besides do you really believe that some of these ****s living in projects are poor? when in reality most make more in a week than you do a year? but continue to live in housing projects?

Do you think I'm a rich man making fun of poor people? hell no..... However I do understand that it takes effort to get out of the rut....

You just sit there and pretend there success is some sort of patronage people are born into and none of them worked hard for their riches or even took losses trying to find an idea that was successful.

I believe the suggestion is that if anyone used a paved road then they didn't create a job.

Hillary Clinton tries to walk back jobs comments.....

Hillary Clinton tried Monday to walk back some comments she made last week about job creation that landed her in hot political water. Oops. Cue the outrage, and later, the clarification.

On Monday, Clinton said she “short-handed” her point about the failure of trickle-down economics. More from Clinton on Monday, via Politico: “Our economy grows when businesses and entrepreneurs create good-paying jobs here in America and workers and families are empowered to build from the bottom up and the middle out — not when we hand out tax breaks for corporations that outsource jobs or stash their profits overseas.” She made the comments at a campaign event in upstate New York for Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney.....snip~

So either she's realized that businesses do in fact create jobs (more so than the government), and I find this unlikely.

More likely that she's gotten the blow back from the electorate, and now she's walking back. Had there been no blow back, I doubt that she'd have bothered to correct herself, typical of all politicians.

Just another 'you didn't built that' moment, a Freudian slip where the true thinking of the person is revealed.

For me, I'm making 5x what my parents made at this point in their life.

A hell of a lot of corporate money has trickled down into Clinton coffers. Hillary forgot to mention that little tidbit.

    Depends.
If the business was able to expand then the people employed there benefitted. Simple.
If you worked for Solyndra you never had a chance from the get-go. But that was different.

Nobody said any differently. Nice try at a deflection though.

So how much have you gotten?

No kidding. However, some employees of Solyndra seemed to come out just fine.

No doubt a reward for his fine leadership.
