Posted and discussed before your OP. Can't find the other, but it was posted the same day as the linked above.
My comments are in the original thread.
Meanwhile, the TSA was too busy molesting travelers to actually stop a problem like this from occurring. Thank goodness people took matters into their own hands and stopped this guy.
"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free."
"When we live authentically we create an opportunity for others to walk out of their dark prisons of pretend into freedom."
Remember the case in Jasper, TX, where three white men accost a black male on the street for no other reason than he was black, then tie him up and drag him behind their truck, beheading him in teh process? Our country has this particular history, and still has people stuck in that time, so that the country felt a need to go after that particular kind of crime.
You can rest easy, though, that whenever you're in line at the airport, no one will ever assault you just for being who and what you are. And that's all you really care about, I suspect.
You guys are really talented at arguing things I never said. You believe that a guy who murders someone for their wallet should get out of prison before a guy who murders a guy because he's a member of a protected group. I get it! But restating it doesn't make it right!
Here is my point in a nutshell: If aggravated assault carries a 1 year prison sentence and an aggravated assault plus a hate crime tacks on another 1 year then I am advocating a 2 year sentence for both aggravated assault perpetrators rather than 1 year for one and 2 years for another.
