Thank you, however, for demonstrating that you have no idea what you are talking about when you rant about contractors. It's always helpful to have the ignorant self-identify with their language so that others can stop taking them seriously.

Incidentally, when you go through Blackwater (or "Xi" or whatever they are now) selection, as part of your contract, you are required to reaffirm your oath of loyalty to the United States of America. So there is that li'l tidbit.
The people who rant about mercenaries the most don't even know what a mercenary is.

I believe this was the second trial for those men because a guilty verdict was not arrived during the first trial...

I posted the following on the first thread of the day on this topic....

Politics gets uglier everyday, does it not ?

I was not present at the incident nor the trials; but the evidence I read and heard might not indicate guilt but response to an apparent attack ... from a distance this seems a questionable decision.

Something reeks here and it's challenging to determine the cause of the odor.

It has become difficult to trust any governmental function.

You think it was the jury's fault for no conviction?

    Seriously?

I dunno.....if we had a trial involving a gangsta-thug, would you opine that his jury should consist of his fellow gangsta-thugs?

Sounds like they killed people that shouldn't even have been shooting at. You can't just shoot random people because you think someone is shooting at you.

    Article is here.
It took nearly a decase but Blackwater can finally say that they are slightly better than ISIS.

You can't be serious. They're just mercenaries with a different name.

    Yea, that's the hard part.

I don't like them at all, but they have their uses.

Criminal acts by a select number of contractors does not make the company even remotely comparable to ISIS. ISIS has an ideology rooted in an extreme interpretation of religion in which it deliberately carries out atrocities and other crimes against humanity. The company's mission contained no comparable purpose.

The evidence supported a conviction of the contractors involved in the shooting. That's a separate matter from trying to draw comparisons with ISIS.
