The fact is that Canada can chose who can enter the country from anywhere around the world and they should not bring in those who might increase any social problems here. Brazilians don't condone Honor killings, etc., nor do people from the Philippines. Why not give them a chance to live and work in Canada?

Unfortunately a large number of Muslims support terrorism,9/11,womens oppression, sharia laws, honor killings
That's never going to happen, Grant. No Western country could ever justify blatant religious discrimination of the magnitude you suggest. Refusing entry solely for religious reasons would go against every Western democracy's Constitution, Charter, Bill of Rights..etc..

Throwing away one of our fundamental rights and freedoms just to get a fleeting and ultimately false sense of security would be a grave attack on our national integrity. We are better than that, we are better than them and we can't allow them to destroy the very foundation of what makes us who we are. If we do, they win.

The U.S. can keep their your gun laws.
It makes sense to what I was responding to.

    This made me tear up....
No men are anywhere, and Im allowed to go in, because Im the owner of the pageant and therefore Im inspecting it, Trump said... Is everyone OK? You know, theyre standing there with no clothes. Is everybody OK? And you see these incredible looking women, and so I sort of get away with things like that.

#12 - Canada | 15 nations with the highest gun ownership | Deseret News

Canada has 1/6 the rate of homicides by guns as the US (.51 per 100,000 vs. 3.21 per 100,000)...

The reason there was no carnage in the Parliament attack was the gun only held seven bullets.

America has far more shootings per capita than our friends to the north. Apparently, what you get with an unarmed society is less gun violence...
The gunman could have been stopped if any of the 10 people he had run past engaged him. Had they been armed. But no, they were disarmed.

No this is typical right wing racism... news flash.. their race is irrelevant, they are Americans and part of your statistical base. Want to do something about it.. stop the GOP racist attitudes that are becoming more and more main stream.
more eurocentric whining. The fact is-the major ethnic group in the USA-with supposedly free access to firearms-have lower rates of gun violence than that same ethnic group in Eurosocialist nations with moronic oppressive gun control laws. So we white americans obviously don't need Eurotrash laws imposed on us

It will not be blatant, A. Canada's previous Immigration Minister, Jason Kenney, said that Canada would begin recruiting immigrants from countries which share Canadian values and traditions. The new Immigration Minister said that Canada would be looking at entrepreneurial immigrants with enough money to invest or skilled professionals in trades where their skills are required. Neither mentioned religion but everyone recognizes the social problems Muslim immigrants often bring with them.

I have no problem with that. It's common sense immigration policy and a much better approach than putting a No Muslims Allowed sign at the door.

    .
the Canadian populace is not "disarmed"
    perhaps you didn't bother reading?
"Canada ranks 12th in arms per capita, with 30 guns per 100 "
we just don't feel the need to take them everywhere with us
    as we're not that paranoid
this assailant was able to put one individual down...that's it
and only because it was unexpected
he was doing cenotaph duty much like your lads "guarding" the tomb in Arlington
    window dressing...no live rounds
