In Canada, Terrorism Concerns Arise After Car Hits 2 in Military

A hit-and-run car crash that injured two members of the Canadian Armed Forces in a small Quebec city on Monday morning quickly prompted widespread speculation that the motive might have been terrorism-related.

Soldier hit by 'radicalized' driver in Quebec dead - The Globe and Mail

They have attacked right outside of the British Barracks, extremist/terrorist attack.
They attacked again, right outside of a Canadian Barracks, extremist/terrorist attack.

Will there be a successful attack against our military inside our own borders? If so, what is the proper response?

I don't think the political parties will have an answer. And any answer they give will be wrong in the eyes of the public. Do nothing, soft on terrorism. Do anything, anti-islamic hate.

There already has been successful attacks against our military inside our own borders. But it was called work place violence. Even though we all know it was not.

At the slow rate, I don't think anyone cares or that anyone has a good solution for when it happens here.
 
Sooner or later our illustrious FBI will concoct some plan and entice some black folks down on their luck to participate, in which a US base is "targeted". As I recall they already did that a few years back, persuading some pizza delivery guys into planning to attack Fort Dix.

They weren't attacked right outside a barracks. They were hit in a parking lot of a strip mall that happens to have a service Canada office. It was just as likely they were there for Tim Horton's or the SAAQ (societé de l'assurance automobile du Quebec, think DMV). They weren't that far from the military college but in all likely hood, as one was apparently wearing fatigues, they were from the military base which is on the other side of the airport (which you can see on the left side of the map in the article) from where this happened. Still not that far, but my guess is this was not so much a planned attack, as a guy (who was heading that way to terrorism) who flipped out before he could plan anything worse. As far as terrorist attacks go this one was pretty piss poor. He had a military college and a large military base (training establishment) to pick from if he wanted to really make a statement. Instead, he used his car to deliberately hit 2 people. Unfortunately 1 died this morning. He then got into a police chase, crashed came out brandishing a knife and got shot.
According to the press he was being watched and his passport was revoked. Maybe he figured out he wouldn't be able to plan anything grand and that was the trigger we may never know.

I know the mall it happened in well and am not trying to minimize what happened, just making sure the truth gets out.

Thanks for the update with the real and correct information. The Chicken Littles were about to go into their "The sky is falling, the sky is falling. They are here, they are going to kill everybody, no one will save us. Oh, help the sky is falling" mode. :scared:

There was a warning that ISIS would start attacking military members at home. There was just an attack on soldiers. I don't know. Seems like a legitimate question to what we should do as a people if the same happens here. I don't find that a jump to a conclusion or a panic.

Again not trying to minimize it but it was a fairly inept attack. We can count ourselves fortunate for that I suppose.
All the best to the family of the deceased victim and hope the other injured soldier makes a full recovery.

That's already happened inside American borders and will continue to occur in all the democracies, both to civilian and military personnel. We are at war.
