Is there a point in there somewhere?

And if only 1% of the 400,000 without ID can't get ID in time or at all, you'll disenfranchise 4,000 eligible, registered voters to solve the problem of 4 ineligible votes. A good trade?
Yes. A good trade. The state is upholding its end of the bargain. Those who do not get their ID are not upholding theirs.

Just like Voter ID is a " poor deterrent against voter fraud ", using the narrative of the poor and the elderly being somehow incapable of obtaining a ID is a poor argument against voter ID.

Why not talk about the fine print of all these different 21st century Jim Crow laws.

The ones the three Justices alito, scalia and thomas taught to the GOPs beginning in 2009
during the koch conferences they adjudicated as special guests .

There is no downside to assuring votes are cast by those entitled to cast them.

Really--it would take me the rest of the night just to go through the North Carolina law.
Give the GOPs credit for employing the #1 Nixon card--voter suppression .

But there is an upside for your GOP to suppress votes isn't there?
As the immoral minority suppresses the majority with gerrymandering and suppression laws .
