And our military and medical personnel need to be quarantined before returning. I believe that's the plan for the military anyway.
There should be a screen there as well, a passport would of course be required. We need not concern ourselves with a perfect solution-one likely does not exist.

Too bad you don't show as much concern about the 4,500 soldiers we lost to a LIE last decade in Iraq compared to these 4,500.
And now you want to lose thousands more in Iraq.

And when President Ebola closes the borders, you'll blame him for the ensuing economic chaos.
Did you ever consider this disease might be a plant from Cheney last decade after the Kenyan was elected?

Every reliable non-partisan hack expert tells us that more problems will ensue by closing the borders than not.
Continue to play the fear-mongering Nixon card as you have played the war-mongering one.

Aren't you the least bit suspicious the problem in the USA began in secessionist Texas?
With a hospital that refused to implement the CDC protocol in July?
Too much of a coincidence for me knowing the GOP .

The developments constitute a modest success in an otherwise bleak situation.

Officials credit tighter border controls, good patient-tracking and other medical practices, and just plain luck with keeping Ebola confined mostly to Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea since the outbreak was first identified nearly seven months ago.

    I care what Canada does.
The USA has seen enough of isolationists like the GOP in the 1930s.
Allowing Hitler to come to power with the bankrolling aid of GOPs like Prescott Bush .

We have little (some but little) influence on those countries. We can enforce nothing.

Think about the incompetence of our TSA. Think about general govt bureaucracy here and then multiply it by 100 for the corruption, bureaucracy, and nepotism that is the "norm" in many of those other countries.

And like I said...they can go to other countries. They are circulating in airports and shipping ports, while the virus can be incubating. And then try to enter the US from those other countries.

Kudo's for finding a way to bring Iraq and Cheney into this.
Read, not just this thread but others to get an idea of the way things are.

And no-we aren't here to be the guardians of Africa's failed economies. The africans have figured this out, why haven't you?

We absolutely have the power to determine who comes here, and from where-even if the left does not like it. If your answer is to do nothing because it wont be perfect (tsa, tangential entry, etc) I disagree, and I'd argue this is too important to leave to the demonstrably failed measures we have taken up till now.

Africa understands this, and they understand the risks.

Im no isolationist, though I support only a limited presence, where its most needed.

That said, if I come across as more conservative with the pandemic viral hemorrhagic virus with up to a 90% mortality, Im willing to take that risk. This is as an educated individual with a medical and paramedical background. I specialize in internal medicine.

Good ideas get conserved, you can drink a canadian beer in Liberia all day for all I care. This is more important than you.

That would certainly be untrue based on yer past posting.

So you've been saying lately with yer new tactics--I'll rely on the experts in real life--
but not the ones who dropped the ball in Texas and didn't do as they were told by the CDC.
Good ideas get conserved, you can drink a canadian beer in Liberia all day for all I care. This is more important than you.
Trying to position yerself as better than other Americans--that tactic was stale when you first tried it.
Just like trying to make a huge deal out of 4 deaths in Benghazi instead of 4,500 in Iraq.
It's obvious what yer GOP is doingt repeating the words Ebola and ISIL to every question in debates without asking about them .
