Obama: ‘I Felt Perfectly Safe’ Hugging, Kissing Hospital Workers Who Took Care Of Ebo

Re: Obama: ‘I Felt Perfectly Safe’ Hugging, Kissing Hospital Workers Who Took Care Of

LOL. Having an asymptomatic person fly is fine. Of course, to protect the chronically hysterical, they changed that.

But you're right in one aspect, the infected health care workers were a sign that regulation by the federal government needed to be tighter, and we apparently can't trust locals to be competent in handling important issues.

I don't think you wanted to argue that, though.

You can't blame the local hospital, which isn't a level 4 facility, when the primary imcompetence lies with the Feds. The Feds were blowing it off, thinking the virus really woupdn't show up here, or they were hoping they would get lucky. Either way, they were our first line of defense and they screwed the pooch.

Re: Obama: ‘I Felt Perfectly Safe’ Hugging, Kissing Hospital Workers Who Took Care Of

Yes...they practically accused Bush of reaching up and snagging Hurricane Katrina and tossing it at the gulf coast. And within three days of the 9/11/01 attacks Hillary Klinton was holding up a sign for the tv cameras stating: "What did he know and when did he know it?"

The most massive evactuation in American history was completed in less than 72 hours and all the Libbos could do, is bitch. Can you imagine what s cluster **** that would be if Obama had anything to do with it?

Re: Obama: ‘I Felt Perfectly Safe’ Hugging, Kissing Hospital Workers Who Took Care Of

No, the CDC has provided confusion in their messages. The CDC may not be ignorant but we know one thing for sure - they don't know how to communicate effectively.

I think that's pretty clear, although the insane demands by hysteria driven 24 hour news organizations requires a special communication skill. The CDC has been, I'm sure, quite clear to the people who matter. The Ebola transmission to these two heslth care workers falls mostly on Texas Presbyterian Hospital. I think we can be fairly sure that this 'outbreak' will stop with these two workers.

I suppose putting a Czar in place will help solve that.

Re: Obama: ‘I Felt Perfectly Safe’ Hugging, Kissing Hospital Workers Who Took Care Of

The damned arrogant liar in the White House and his butt boys huh matchlight?
What's it like spewing yer lies at Obama all over this board?

Good thing all hands were on deck last decade when Bush-43 defeated AIDs.
And it sure helped having a Surgeon General--which the traitorous GOP led by McConnell continues to prevent.

No doubt in my opinion, with yer posting in mind, that the Texas hospital dropped the ball on purpose.
No entity is that incompetent--even the cowardly Boehner's House .

I'll say whatever I damn well please about the habitual liar in the White House. He's not a poster here, as far as I know. But I doubt the rules here allow you to call what I say "lies" because it happens to peeve you.

No, I can't. So let's all hope that the President isn't put to this test.

Re: Obama: ‘I Felt Perfectly Safe’ Hugging, Kissing Hospital Workers Who Took Care Of

... the insane demands by hysteria...

You think that having now 3 infected people, and over 124 under monitoring, with what I am sure is not the whole story, that it is, in your words, "insane" to demand that ALL precautions be taken to keep us from having more cases of this? Why?

...to the people who matter...

And who are they? That you even propose that there are citizens in this country who "don't matter" shows a rather sick perception of what America is to you.

The Ebola transmission to these two heslth care workers falls mostly on Texas Presbyterian Hospital.

Blame the victim eh? I am sure with your logic, victims of rape are responsible for their attack, as well as murder victims....

I think we can be fairly sure that this 'outbreak' will stop with these two workers.

And I am sure you base your ridiculous assurance here on your years of medical experience in treating Level 4 pathogens right?

I suppose putting a Czar in place will help solve that.

No, putting this hack in place is simply to disseminate propaganda, they even said as much...But, you will lap it up, and further their BS to the American people in the most dishonest way you can...That is what you do.

Re: Obama: ‘I Felt Perfectly Safe’ Hugging, Kissing Hospital Workers Who Took Care Of

There is already an Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response, Dr. Nicole Lurie, so I don't understand the redundancy of appointing this Ron Klain, who brings nothing but experience lackeying and spinning for Gore and Biden to this medical issue.

"The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response was created under the Pandemic and All Hazards Preparedness Act in the wake of Katrina to lead the nation in preventing, preparing for, and responding to the adverse health effects of public health emergencies and disasters. ASPR focuses on preparedness planning and response; building federal emergency medical operational capabilities; countermeasures research, advance development, and procurement; and grants to strengthen the capabilities of hospitals and health care systems in public health emergencies and medical disasters. The office provides federal support, including medical professionals through ASPR’s National Disaster Medical System, to augment state and local capabilities during an emergency or disaster."

Nicole Lurie might not have a price; but you can bet Robert Klane does.

Hell, even today there are these same libs on another board talking about Jeb Bush, if he runs what to call him...Yet they are so offended when these tactics are used against them....******s, all of them.

I can't imagine a bunch of conservatives doing that. The left are children in that way.

Re: Obama: ‘I Felt Perfectly Safe’ Hugging, Kissing Hospital Workers Who Took Care Of

LOL. Having an asymptomatic person fly is fine.

Where did you learn this, pharmacy school? Symptoms are SELF REPORTED and notoriously unreliable. Its quite easy for a virus to be contagious before a person feels ill, and in some cases people will lie or obscure to get what they want.

At least signs are objective.

These are basic facts, 3G, I wonder why you feel compelled to make such uninformed comments-politics, maybe?

It is ALL politics, spin over substance. Its like appointing a used car salesman as the head of an ethics oversight board.

Oh, well...You're sure...Well, let's get the WH on the phone, and let them in on that tid bit...I am sure America can sleep at night knowing that you're sure....

It's logical reasoning J. No need to be snarky. :coffeepap

Re: Obama: ‘I Felt Perfectly Safe’ Hugging, Kissing Hospital Workers Who Took Care Of

Maybe, but I can see the President doing this, as a compassionate human being, without any planning at all, and the Secret Service having a conniption watching him hug those people. That's what I think may have happened here. My original comment on this thread, was in regard to no one telling him not to touch them, just in case. Maybe they did, and h said screw it, I'm hugging them - but I doubt it. No one probably even thought Obama would do it, and it just happened before anyone could say or do anything.

He might, but those around him would make sure. And they have people paid to think of these things.

Vomiting, diarrhea and bleeding are pretty objective symptoms where I'm from, especially if self reported by a health care professional.

Elevated temperature is also objective. And the woman was 99.5 and free of symptoms. That's a pretty good definition of asymptomatic.

As far as we know about Ebola, it is contagious after symptoms appear. And again, the transmission is thru body fluid, which is usually pretty obvious.

One of the "symptoms" is elevated temp....So, she had a symptom...

3g, you lack medical training. Symptoms are subjective-signs are not. Fevers are transient. Melena/hematochezia are objective-but the frequency and consistency of stools are not-when reported BY individuals and not medical staff.

THIS virus is communicable as long as ANY virions remain in body substances, and its minimum infectious dose is 1-10 virions. Beyond that we are squarely in virus season and the signs AND symptoms will be obscured by the endemic infectious diseases.

My point is that nothing is as simple as you wish to present-your lack of primary knowledge is really shining through.

At this stage-dont you think its irresponsible of you to parrot what you heard from Rachel Maddow?

Re: Obama: ‘I Felt Perfectly Safe’ Hugging, Kissing Hospital Workers Who Took Care Of

Again, 99.5 isn't a fever.

It can be, depending on how/where it was obtained-you could argue about if its medically significant but the point is its not as clear cut as you'd like to make out.

Re: Obama: ‘I Felt Perfectly Safe’ Hugging, Kissing Hospital Workers Who Took Care Of

BS doesn't always baffle brains. Some understand technical terms. There's google too. Eating beetroot can cause hematochezia-like symptoms, as can a dozen other diseases. if a patient has reached that stage of the illness you misdiagnosed originally.

Re: Obama: ‘I Felt Perfectly Safe’ Hugging, Kissing Hospital Workers Who Took Care Of

I could give a crap about Obama's well being on a personal level but unfortunately he is our president and his VP is even more stupid than he is so it was a dumb stunt.

It's a little far along in the game to pretend like you are concerned about the presidency when it isn't an (R) sitting in there.

I don't take medical advice from PA's, as a rule. Substandard training, you know. I know because I've taught them.

LOL.

It was a medical professional who was reporting the symptoms. And again, there is no evidence she had any symptoms, or signs, of infection at the time.

This infection is not easily transmissible, period. We had a *symptomatic* individual flying from Africa to the US, and all his plane mates are just fine. This isn't surprising or really lucky. It's kind of what you would expect.
