    Nobody that is well known.

But I am positive that there must be someone in the entire GOP who could do a good job of running America.

The problem is, IMO, the masses focus on style and not substance. And even when they do focus on the latter, most of them do not seem to have a clue what is truly important.

Basically, America is screwed as both the Dems and the Reps and the masses don't seem to have a clue how to properly run America, imo.

My question is 'how far does America have to fall before the masses finally get it'?

Think whatever you want to think, that will have zero effect on the election.

Re: Jeb Bush: Wife and Mother More Supportive of Potential Run

Jeb Bush, should he enter the contest, will be the next President of the United States.

I find it quite telling that all those desperate to save Hillary continue to toss up threads trying to disparage and pull Jeb down. They are so terrified that once again Hillary, their manufactured candidate, will be a disaster in the election. Jeb Bush has a record to run on, has policies based on principles he believes in, and is capable of growing as a candidate in the eyes of the electorate as the process evolves. Hillary Clinton has no record, no principles and when brought into the light, as with her terrible book tour, withers under the scrutiny and becomes incredibly unattractive. Her only goal is self-promotion - in that respect, she would be a continuation of the disastrous Presidency of Obama.

Jeb Bush also has an incredibly attractive immediate family - a very modern mixed race marriage with very attractive and intelligent children - they are what many see as thoroughly, quintessentially, American.

At this point, not enough Americans know Jeb Bush to truly evaluate the man and what he would be as President - that will come as he announces and joins the race, the debates, and the primary process. As that happens, he will grow greatly in the eyes of the electorate - the exact opposite of many who may enter the GOP primary and definitely the opposite of what Hillary will experience. And don't underestimate what both former Presidents Bush will bring to the election process. It's currently not very fashionable to have a favourable opinion of GWB, but many do and keep it to themselves. GWB brought many Hispanic votes to Republican candidates because of his history as Texas Governor - greater than any Republican candidate in recent history before or since. The two "Bush boys" together can bring that back and expand on it.

I look forward to the day when Jeb Bush is American President and America can start to move forward and upward once again.

But maximum effect on the country, but you don't care about that.

    Happy Sunday morning, CJ.

Having a well-known name can work both ways, unfortunately. On the "plus" side, from what I've read, Jeb was well respected as Governor of Florida because he did a good job. He seems to be a genuinely nice person, too. During the Elian Gonzalez affair, when the networks were vying for a chance to interview the 6-year Elian, Jeb spoke his opinion: "Here's a child who went with his mom and 12 other people seeking freedom. They left Cuba out of desperation. This child is a child of God, in my opinion, to survive the Florida Straits as he did, and now, to be thrown into the international political realm...it is inexcusable. It breaks my heart to see a 6-year old child on TV being interviewed about things that he has no idea about what's going on." (Elian was the only survivor of that ill-fatd trip.) Diane Sawyer said on Good Morning America that the network decided against airing part of the interview in which Elian states that he didn't want to go back to Cuba, because it would be used by supporters who wanted to keep him in the US. Janet Reno, Attorney General, had previously decided he should go back though, and back he went after the courts decided same!

On the "minus" side, if it can be termed thus, his last name will be used against him by the Democrats. How that works is puzzling, since Hillary is using her last name as a selling point, and that's okay, but Jeb is different somehow? Whatever.....

this should come as no surprise
as a president, dubya was a total **** up
as president, clinton was a great president who liked to ****

but when the public eventually sees that jeb is not a dumb ass like his brother
and hillary is not in any way accomplished like her husband
jeb should be able to snatch the white house from the democrats
but is the GOP smart enough to recognize that
    ditto for the DNC
