U.S. Nurses say they are unprepared to handle Ebola patients.....

Uhm the Saud showed what the Most Important step was.....do try and keep up with the current reality in time.

The Saud? Is that somebody who contributed to Bush's campaign?

Lessee, yesterday morning it was 18 persons they were worried about having contact with the patient. Then later in the day it 80, and by the time I went home. It was 100.
That is how it starts.

Ahhh the zombie outbreak has begun! Everyone lock your doors! Grab your guns! :scared::scared:

Short of building a wall around West Africa (which I suspect you'd like to do in any case), stop fixating on the irrelevant. An infectious disease outbreak of this magnitude will get to the US due to modern travel patterns. It's simply unavoidable It cannot be stopped by Customs and whether it comes through Dulles or LAX, there will be more than one isolated case getting here.

This is more Stupid Talk from the Right, avoiding the issue, which is the preparation for handling Ebola cases in a rational manner.
How much money, in your opinion, would it require to stop allowing people to come into the US after spending time in ebola country?

"it cannot be stopped..." What a foolish statement. It will not be stopped because we have idiots and children in charge.

I'm waiting for you to tell us and then say how you'd pay for it. Since all the experts say it won't help, I wouldn't waste taxpayer dollars on a stupid plan like this. But knock yourself out.

Soooooo, how are you going to pay for it?

Why don't we ask that Clinton Global Initative. Maybe you could speak up for them about who those backers are.

I'm asking you since you brought up "the Saud." Is it one of Bush's friends who snuck out of the country after 9-11? I'm dying to know.

The link was up with what the Saud did to counter this.....did you become confused over what they said. I know it might be difficult to understand them. But they did print it out in English.

Yep sure was.....his name was Bill Clinton. That's why he moved all his money into those offshore accounts. ;)

It's an occasion for the usual suspects to blame Obama for something, so they can't pass it up.

I'm just curious how much the Right is willing to increase taxes in order to pay for their Wall Against Ebola around the nation.

True, they blame for Obama for everything short of the weather, which they know is mostly their fault.

Who the heck is "the Saud"? Is it a concept? A new band? Is it Palin's body guard?

Heya Skipper. :2wave: What did you think these Nurses made this up and they went all in just to lie to the NY Times?

A survey by National Nurses United of some 400 nurses in more than 200 hospitals in 25 states found that more than half (60 percent) said their hospital is not prepared to handle patients with Ebola, and more than 80 percent said their hospital has not communicated to them any policy regarding potential admission of patients infected by Ebola. Another 30 percent said their hospital has insufficient supplies of eye protection and fluid-resistant gowns.....snip~

Universal precautions are elementary nursing practice. They should be doing it anyway, as normal procedure. As far as policy directives or extra equipment, there have been TWO cases in the entire country. There should be standing orders type response protocols in place for diaster type events, it's early days to be rolling them out.

Why? You know it's a risk when you sign up - historically in wars, disease kills more soldiers than battle.
But not in recent history. Why do you do this? Is it your intention to lie by not telling the whole truth?

In this report,

Disease deaths are not even mentioned. In the US military death by disease has essentially be conquered.

So why did the Marxist on the golf course send US military troops to ebola country? Well, why did he not send them to Benghazi?

You mean to tell me you already forgot who you were talking about.....yet thought you were talking about reality, again?

Well let me Ask you just how they did this disinfect this ambulance.....if they left the hospital and went out on another call. Then returned later to pick Duncan up a second time?

See I have family member that worked as Firehouse Paramedic. So I kind of know their drill.

Oh and all this BS about whining about Fear and being afraid.....Can you explain why the CDC and the WHO are calling this a Major epidemic?

Because its a major epidemic… In sub-Saharan Africa.

Would you prefer a continued spread of the disease that further increases the risk to Americans?

How much would it cost to no longer allow any travelers from ebola country from entering the US?

Why is that different than if they took a bullet? Yes, military people sign up to risk their lives.
I signed up to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I did not sign up to go babysit sick people in ebola country. I signed up to defend my nation not to be exposed to a fatal disease in countries that are unimportant to US national security.

Perhaps you signed up to be exposed, needlessly, to ebola.

You know sometimes I wonder why I am moderate to liberal instead of solidly conservative. Obviously the reason is that I don't walk around in a constant state of fear.

The following are the top 15 causes of death in the United States:

Cause of Death / Percent of Total
1. Diseases of the heart
28.5
2. Malignant tumors 22.8
3. Cerebrovascular diseases 6.7
4. Chronic lower respiratory diseases 5.1
5. Accidents (unintentional injuries) 4.4
6. Diabetes mellitus 3.0
7. Influenza and pneumonia 2.7
8. Alzheimer's disease 2.4
9. Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and nephrosis 1.7
10. Septicemia (blood poisoning) 1.4
11. Suicide 1.3
12. Chronic liver disease and cirrhosis 1.1
13. Primary hypertension and hypertensive renal disease 0.8
14. Parkinson's disease (tied) 0.7
15. Homicide (tied) 0.7

Just as an FYI, the odds are millions and millions and millions to one that any of the following will be your demise: terrorism, ebola, home invasions, beheading, or wild animal attack. It is a near certainty those are not what will kill you. If you are a smoker and or overweight, and you are worried about Ebola, your personal risk calculator is way off.

Today, in the United States, you have less than a 1 in 300,000,000 chance of contracting Ebola. In contrast, if you smoke, you have about a 1 in 5 chance of getting lung cancer and dying a miserable death from it. If you are obese, you will on average die about 10 years early than someone that is fit (not to mention is greatly ups your cancer risk). Personally, with all the trail running, road biking, and wilderness backpacking trips I do, if anything kills me before my time I will probably be some kind an accident resulting from some thrill junkie stunt. Point being, I don't worry about ebola killing me, terrorism killing me, some inner city youth killing me (even though I often go on runs that take me through the inner city), or any of things that statistically have little to no chance of being my demise. Similarly, I don't count on the lottery for my retirement.

Grow a pair and quit freaking out over ebola.
So, no doubt you too, would foolishly allow more infected people to come to the US. Let us hope you soak up all of the probabilities for this wondrous virus.

I didn't forget it, I'm waiting for you to explain it. You seem confused. As if you've been spending too much time at the Bush Presidential Library or something. That's it, isn't it?

Wait it's some special rightwing jargon, like Agenda 21. Is that it?

Which they are concerned about the movement of people.....and spreading.

Ebola Scare Hits Washington, Latest of About 100 Alerts to CDC

Officials are also monitoring an inmate at Cobb County Jail in Georgia. However, the initial blood test was negative for Ebola, according to the Cobb County Sheriff's Office. Though the scares have put some on edge, the cases are not unique. After issuing an alert to hospitals and medical providers in July, the CDC has looked into approximately 100 Ebola scares in 33 states, as of Oct. 1, the agency said.....snip~

You keep harping on Texas.....what about Dulles Airport in Washington DC? Who were the screeners again? Who did they work for?

He was probably not exibiting symptoms at Dulles. What did you want them to do?

I think MMC has a magic Ebola detector ring he got at Breitbart.com. It only cost $29.95

But you must have.....since you were waiting for an explanation. The link on them, is all about you can handle so you should stick with that. Just sayin.

So it's a term for Agenda 21? Honestly you must have provided a link as bad as your argument is.

Well, Team BO wants them to screen people that are coming from the infected states. So they should be taking notice. Also he was sent home exhibiting those symptons.

So do you think it a real good probable chance he was exhibiting when he arrived in DC?

Now don't keep showing all how cornfuzzeled you are.....the link was in post 89.

You aren't slow are you.....ya might want to give people a warning about that. Just sayin!
