If it's the entire community looting and disturbing the peace, the entire community deserves to be insulted thusly.

It comes from a different reality.

Employees of the DOJ have said in public that they're taking Michael Brown's side in this against Wilson? Can you quote anyone on that?

I think I'm done with this topic. You've obviously decided who the bad guys are and it's the black community of Ferguson, and so their concerns can't be valid and Brown must have deserved killing, which is why the cops abandoning any pretense of objectivity, while on duty in uniform, while serving this community, is no big deal. I can't have a reasoned debate with that viewpoint.
You have a wonderful way of taking pretty clear language presented to you and then twisting it into a narrative you want to disparage. That's fine, but it's a dishonest way to conduct a discussion if that's what you wanted rather than a vehicle to rant.

    Wrong.
You can not show that comment was directed at anybody but the protestors it applied to. You know, those who were protesting by looting.
You need articles and pictures to accompany the claim?

    ‘Pants Up, Don’t Loot’
Protests devolve into violence and mayhem in Ferguson.
    By Ryan Lovelace

Ferguson, Mo. — “Hands up. Don’t shoot,” several protesters chanted on Sunday night.
One voice shouted in response, “Pants up. Don’t loot.”

    The request went unnoticed.

Is it on the job with their uniforms?

Then I understand what the dept is saying and the dept has the right to tell them what not to display while working.

Only the police department are wearing them. None of the outside agencies brought in to keep the peace are doing so. The department are also neglecting to wear or covering up their name bands. This indicates a mentality of impunity toward the community they are supposed to be serving.

It has nothing to do with provocation. The chief of police is the point man for the men and the department.

What ever the reasoning for the request is not important. The request was made, the chief followed the request and so did the officers. End of story.
