Obama leaves UN a changed statesman

Do some research, I'm not going to waste my time telling you what you can find out for yourself.

No, you'll just throw out silly statements with nothing to back them up then pull some stupid **** like this post here...As such you are dismissed.

Directly taking on ISIS.

So you're saying his head is finally out of the sand?

That seems to be the context of the thread.

Obama's war didn't have to be: It is in large part a result of the president's wishful thinking approach to foreign policy. Why has the Islamic State been able to run amok defeating U.S.-trained Iraqi armies and capturing Iraqi cities; slaughtering, torturing, and persecuting thousands of innocent Christians, Yazidis, and Muslims; looting U.S. war materiel; making a mockery of our efforts in Iraq and threatening our consulates and embassies?

Because Obama ignored the Islamic State and played down their effectiveness in a vain effort to wish away the urgent need to remain on a war footing against terrorism.

Because he failed to engage with former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and that led to there being were no U.S. forces in Iraq that could have prevented the Inally slamic State's bursting out of Syria to take over large swaths of Iraq.

Because the president created a vacuum for terrorists in Syria when he didn't take the opportunity to back up his own demands that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad leave power but instead allowed the opposition to Assad to grow into a terrorist force that is now an army controlling territory in two countries.

Expect Bitter Fruits From Obama's Half-Hearted War on Terror

Except that we both know that the context of the thread is wrong if that is the point...Obama is truly a weak President that no one takes seriously on the world stage anymore. This whole thing is just one big photo op to hopefully help in the upcoming election. Pity that our service members lives are on the line for something that self serving.

"Truly a weak president"?

How much news have you heard from the Ukraine lately? Not much news lately, huh? The ceasefire is fragile, but it's holding...and Putin isn't sending any more convoys of trucks to support the rebels. He's being very quiet on the matter...and as you watch, the rebellion there will slowly diminish...and die.

Why will it die? Because Putin's not supporting it as he had so strongly two months ago. Why the relatively sudden lack of support from Putin? Because of a solid bloc of political and economic pressure from NATO and the EU (which solid bloc was built and is led by the guy you think of as a "weak president"), compounded with the economic sanctions that are taking an increasing toll on the Russian economy. Obama is slowly and surely helping Putin to realize that he - Putin - can't wield the power that the premiers of the USSR once did, that any new "Cold War" would not be one between virtual equals as it once was, but instead one that Putin could not win.

Y'all really need to step back and realize that the velvet glove of diplomacy is every bit as important as - and sometimes much more important than - the mail'd fist of armed might that glove conceals. It's that same velvet glove of diplomacy that has gotten several of the other nations of the Arab League to join in the fight against ISIL...and UAE's air strike was led by a female pilot.

His aid to Africa is well known. He banned racial profiling, preserved the 2A, gave pension benefits to same sex couples....

And I don't know about you, but I was much better off financially during the Bush economy, than during the six years of Obama. But I'm pretty sure that's Bush's fault.

Funding both sides of a war... yeah. I guess its fair for you to say I don't get it.

What would we be funding? Quite the opposite actually. Defunding the war though confiscatory pricing. There are two deep pockets that are proxies in this little war. Saudi Arabia and Iran. If they have money to spend, its time we spend it.

Me as well - since 2008 my salary has actually declined and yet my performance reviews have been in the top 10% of my company, whereas between 2000 and 2007 my salary increased around 22% and my performance was not always in the top 10%.

He's taking on ISIS with a coalition which is indirect especially since he's claimed the US will not send in ground troops.

Yes after nearly 3,000 deaths and 7 months passing, Obama is finally seemingly getting serious about Ebola.

Dude could cure cancer and personally pull you out of a burning house and you'd still whine about how he didn't do it right.

What exactly did Obama turn around? And yes, Obama is a wannabe dictator. His threat to carry out executive orders on everything Congress will not give him bears that out.

You are so blind of reality it's hard for me to even reply to you but... here goes.

Executive orders. No where near as many as Bush OR Clinton did... so right there proves you don't know what you are talking about and are just venting your feelings over facts. As far as what he turned around... Bush's ****ing trainwreck economy. Just pick a freegin' economic statistic and look it up.

Or St. Ronald Reagan, for that matter.

But Obama's are "different."

Barack Obama left the annual United Nations meeting Thursday with his presidency reshaped by a new era of global turbulence and his worldview sharpened by global jihadism's "heart of darkness".

Read the article here: Obama leaves UN a changed statesman

The world has changed a lot in the last year and the USA and it's allies all over this planet have a lot of threats to deal with in the Middle East and in Europe and Africa.

The USA can't deal with all of those threats on its own, It will need the help of its allies.

What do you think?

Obama is too dumb to do his job. I wish I could be more articulate but Obama is an idiot.

The cure would have a mutation and only way the dude gets you pulled out of a fire.....is when he uses that phone.

Tina says: we don't need another Hero.....we don't need to know the way home. All the matters is life under Thunderdome.

Dude would LIE about curing cancer and personally pulling someone out of a burning house and I'd be right to criticize him for LYING. The man lies like the rest of us breathe.

Well he finally admitted to the truth today. Especially concerning ISIS. Which means he actually is admitting he was wrong. Without saying he was wrong. But all now know it.

On Sunday, President Barack Obama admitted that the United States underestimated the IS threat in Syria, while overestimating the ability of Iraq's US-trained military to fight the jihadists on its own.....snip~

US-led raids hit jihadists in Syria amid new Qaeda threat

Obama.... the name alone makes my head explode.
